You are only refuting what Demondaze is saying, and nothing anyone else says. Which pretty much means you have lost this debate by your failure to refute most of what slydessertfox, UtterlyImpeccable, Jingles and Observer have said, so please, stop.

My point was that universal healthcare will not 'cost money' overall, but that the burden is instead just shifted from individual to state. It will not lead to the 'destruction of the United States', as historygenius has predicted.

No, I was just stating that his failure to actually refute the best arguments for Obamacare and to defend his points before about how people in the UK and Canada actually don't like their healthcare (which was also refuted) is a really big failure, and thus he has lost this debate.

All you need to do is cut the military (which I am pretty sure Romney is against doing anyway) and bam, America will save soooo much more money. And, I know this is hard to believe, but we would still have the best military by far.

Even if you don't believe the new deal got us out of the depression, Im pretty sure that it didn't lead to the destruction of the United States. And the New Deal had spending on a far larger scale than this.

You are aware many countries would want to have a healthcare system like Cuba's, right? They have more doctors per person than any other country in the world, and their health care system is extremely efficient. Come to think of it, Cuba is far from some third world backwards country, they're people enjoy a fairly high standard of living, to my knowledge. Now that capitalism is beginning to trickle into Cuba through tourism and the like, it is getting better.
