Proposal Alternate History subsection

    We should add an alternate history subsection under the Historical events coffeehouse. Reasons for this are as follows. I would estimate that around a third or at least a quarter of topics in the historical events coffeehouse are in fact alternate history, so there will be plenty of activity and threads for the subsection. Furthermore, it will make it easier for people to find and discuss alternate history if they just feel like it, people such as me. Finally, it will shut up the people who think we shouldn't clutter up the Historical Events coffeehouse with alternate history such as C_G. So what do you guys think?

    I think this is a great idea and whats even better it is from you and not some crazy person like Kali, so it's unlikely it will be ignored. I will be one of the first people that visit this section.

    After looking through a few pages of the Historical Events Coffee House I think this is a bad idea. It really doesn't look like one third, or even one quarter, of them are alternative history. This would just make things needlessly more complex. So I say no.

    The problem I have with this, is the history section would have almost zero threads, because almost everything in it is alternate history. I voted no. Now no has a 1 vote lead!

    This would definately deplete the history section but now that can be exclusiviely for hisotry and there is now a whole subsection donated to alternative history

    Subsections are generally a bad idea. I find they're better used as garbage cans for unwanted threads than as a means to find proper ones.
