Well its still only a teaser-trailer so who knows maybe it will be released in the march of next year but we'll all find out soon eventually. either way I'm crossing my fingers for Rome 2
I would want them to wait on a Rome 2 for next. I think there is a few things they need to improve on the current engine, which they are almost certainly gonna use for this upcoming game, before moving onto Rome 2. But I am hoping for a Rome 2 in the beginning of 2014.
i would very much enjoy the franco prussian war and ww1 that would just make it amazing however whatever they happen to make ill still play it after how much they imrpoved with shogun 2 the next game is bound to be even more amazing franco prussian war interests me a fair bit more than the american civil war just that ive always wanted to unite germany in a total war game sounds pretty awesome to me and continuing on ww1 from that could really offer a pretty awesome experience. however i would be a little disapointed if they made a rome 2 total war but im sure it would still be good. the onlt thing is i couldnt see how ww2 would work in a total war game they would have to change a fair bit of things for it to work and i think it could lose its total war feel. victorian era sounds quite fine to me, i love playing vicky so im sure victoria total war sounds good too. also i just dont rome 2 total war just dont want a new idea not a sequel (unless victorian era is empire 2)
Personally when I played empire I found the battles boring, the only notable thing that i liked was the Charges, honestly I hate the gunpowder games CA releases, but I am a classical combat guy.
well i dont have anything against rome 2 its just the franco prussian war im really interested in and i dont like empire that much either the provinces oh god why france and spain, france and spain. napoleon i liked but i still preferred shogun 2 and medieval 2. but after playing fall of the samurai i just really want more modern warfare like it. ultimately whatever they make ill buy it and play it
Anyone else think a Total War set in the Renaissance era (100 Year's war, Wars of the Three Kingdoms, Spanish Armada) would make a good game. Since it has both melee combat from the Medieval Age and gunpowder from the Gunpoweder Age. Just wondering?
i totally agree with this i do not think medieval 3 is necessary for a while im still currently playing medieval 2
The problem is that the more recent you make Total War games settings, the more unrealistic the battles become. Hell, the battles in Napoleon: Total War hardly represent the battles of the actual time period at all. I see comments suggesting a 20th century type Total War. Remember how the largest war of that century was fought? How is it feasable to represent that type of battle in a Total War game? For this reason I would prefer to take it further back, perhaps directly after the collapse of Rome or something between then and the Norman Conquests. Either that or Ancient times, an East Asian setting might be nice aswell.
well i just found that rome 2 total war its confirmed and official as the next total war without any doubt http://www.totalwar.com/ just go to it and look at what u first see
