Do you think anarchism could survive in this current, for the most part, globalized world? Or was it just never viable because humans need leadership and someone to give them orders. Theres also the arguemnt that anrchism can work in todays society and if you think that please explain why.

Also which form of anarchism do you think is the most practical and could actually work in todays society.

I highly expect this to be turned into an anarchy-communist debate.

Though I did just finish up Stalin's book on anarchy or socialism, interesting.

The tyranny of the majority is more than capable of putting the dick in dictator, especially when all its values manifest themselves in a demagogue.

Why would you want to live in an anarchist world though? This is never something I've been able to understand.

No, probably not. But anything's possible and only a fool would make an absolute statement for something like that.

Did you center your world view around Modern Warfare or something? Humans don't "need" a leadership. That's why you don't go mad if you're not being told what to do. But resistance is exhausting, so we don't do much to stop a leadership from taking power.

Oh look who's trying to be unbiased.
It's pretty much the same as it used to be. Blow up ALL the shit. Anarchists stick to fundamentals.

Most of them are ridiculous spoofs of the school of thought. Or they're based on Victorian social structure. Personally I think it silly to split hairs.

I'd imagine for the same reasons people move to egalitarian communes.

    It can and it does.

Ok I dont know what part of this thread seemed absolute to you usually words like could and for the most part dont equal absolutism to me but whatever.

No I dont center my world view around Modern Warfare, I'm saying that an arguemnt is humans need leadership. For example christians always use that to prove god exists in the moral argument or at least attempt to prove he exists. Sorry for trying to show different sides of an arguement.

I didnt know I was trying to be unbiased, I'll admit I should have said that you should explain why or why not for every argument in the post, but I thought that was obvious.

I think this discussion is a bit more important then just saying "Most of them are ridiculous spoofs of the school of thought. Or they're based on Victorian social structure. Personally I think it silly to split hairs." To me personally, I thik anarchism has alot to offer society, just look at how much it influences writers like Noam chomsky or dare I say it Ayn Rand. Those two are both on the opposite spectrum of anarchism. Noam is an anarcho-syndicalist the other Ayn is an anarcho-capitalist or at least very much libertarian.

You have to keep in mind that Anarchists(aka Libertarian Socialists) view capitalism in the same light they view the state. To most socialists, when there's a lack of a official constitutional state, private company's(who protect themselves via some form of protection army) become the new state(s).

The state, for the most part is a protection agency for the biggest capitalists. The primary reasons why the state sometimes doesn't aid the capitalist is bigger capitalists wanting hurt smaller capitalists via the state, capitalists capitulating some control of the state to please the population and keep them obedient, or seize of power by a bureaucracy and creating a new "elite of the elite" acting as a monopoly capitalist. Where there is a elite class, a state will arise.

"Anarcho"-capitalism is just like "anarcho"-fascism or "anarcho"-nationalism. It is paradoxical.
