And again, thank you for the insight of Portugal (my information coming from a stoner, I never actually looked into it). As I said, I'm up in the air, the only problem with legalizing all drugs is that people would get hooked just because they are curious. The sole benefit would be it would be easier to quit if people were open to admitting it. I ask myself "Is it right?" then I remember my sister dated a methead and he ninja'd my families stuff. Now I ask "Do I care?"

I say legalize marijuana and make cigarettes either illegal or make em like 12 bucks a pack (of they are not that high alreadu) and continue with the graphic anti smoking commercials that are starting to air.

Cigarettes are that expensive here, but all that's done is drive small businesses out of business and made the natives richer.

Why the hell do people consistently go broke over something that can only do bad to them?

Why do straight edged faggots consistently attempt to ruin others lives in the name of saving then from themselves?

How is trying to stop someone from smoking cigarettes ruin their lives? If anything their lives would be better off. They would have more money and would not be killing themselves.

Raising prices will only hurt them because they won't stop if they don't want to.

It may get them to think about stopping so they have more money. If something is making you go broke, you usually solve that problem by stop doing said thing.

Their addicted to cigarettes not cocaine or heroine. My moms friend had been smoking cigarettes for over a decade and decided she wanted to quit because among the health problems she realized she could have, she was literally going broke paying for cigarettes. Since the day she decided she was going to stop she hasn't smoked a single cigarette. It's been about 6 weeks now.


Also, why start. Nowadays people are well aware of the cost an dangers of smiling cigarettes yet they do it to be "cool". The stupidity of people that start nowadays never ceases to amaze me.

Why do people go bungee jumping? Why do people race extremely fast and extremely light cars around a track? Why do people climb the Mount Everest? Why do people shoot themselves into space in giant rockets? Why do people visit Africa to approach lions as close as they possibly can?

Also, you misused the comma in the second sentence, if you were to place one before "among", and after "because", then it would make more sense.

And I don't have a fucking clue why people start, it is fucking retarded.

That's a bit of an idealistic view. Things just aren't that easy when you're physically and mentally addicted to it.

On most of those things, you are not killing yourself and most of the time come back in one piece and relayively unharmed. When you smoke on the other hand, you are knowingly killing yourself slowly.

It's the risk that people are willing to take. Plenty of people smoke and live to be over 90 years old. Climbing the Mount Everest, for instance, is incredibly dangerous and physically torturing, but people do it anyway. The same goes for smoking. There are risks involved, but because those people don't care how old they end up being (or rather die at 80 than at 95, which I can't blame them for), they personally find the benefits outweighing the risks.
