Humanity has been advancing in this direction since before you and I were born. You have no idea how incredibly close we are to eliminating the human element from mundane jobs. Really the only thing holding us back at this point are bastions or cheap human labor like China, and they can only defy change for so long. More specifically it will get rid of the working lower class. From there the only direction those people can go is up.
