    You said:
Which implied that a Republican president could reverse the Supreme Court decision.

To this I rebuttled that a president reversing Supreme Court decisions or acting against them is not how the system works.

Basically, the decision paved the way for Congress and president to overturn the legislation. Basically the courts ruled that it would be left up to the people, and their elected representatives to make the call.

    Some call it 'special meat'.

Ok, so his statement was not only confusing, it was unclear.
Thanks for the clarification of the 193 pages of opinion. :)

That's what I gathered from the media, but I'm going to be reading the opinion tonight and probably tomorrow (really 193 pages? That's really long. The record is 233, but most are under 50) and typing something up

Well, what you posted on the first page of this thread was 193, if I recall correctly.
I'll probably be reading it too.

Nice. Drones spying on citizens, people getting arrested withouth due process, making ammendments so that gays cannot have a civil marriage, etc., etc., and now the state forcing you to get you in their healthcare plan.

America is basically turning to the European system. Tax and spending, tax and spending, tax and spending. And I now what I´m talking about, since I live in European Union, in our "beloved" Fourth Reich, and the health care system that I live in sucks. And Republicans should do not act like "oh, we are against this", because Obamacare has Republican influences. What is most wonderfull is that this will get the US debt more high. When that happens, the state while raise taxes even more to get money to pay the healthcare system (and other non sense where money is spend).

It´s amazing. When in the Middle East, people are fighting for freedom, the politicians in the West are reducing it.

I guess the plan of totalitarianism in progression continues. By this steps, the US is turning from the "land of the free" to the "land of the ones who think they are free".

Now the US is really going from bad to worst. Small medical insurance bussiness are flushed down the toillet ( since the health care plan will destroy their chance to get more clients) and the "middle class" will get his financial status worst, with one more tax to pay.

The corporations connected with the government (defenders of crony capitalism) must be celebrating with joy.

Hello? How not making part of a statists health care system will make you dead in an instant? Can you explain me that, oh great and old wise man?

If your part of a healthcare system, that means families who have to go to the hospital, who are lower class, won't have crushing debt for the next couple of years, or have the debt shunted off to the government. The government isn't losing any more money then it normally would here.

Taxes are only raising by .9% on individuals filing with more the 200k in income, and couples more then 250k. This For families this could be considered middle class, but when you figure it's not even a 1% tax increase, it really isn't a huge deal. It also doesn't force you to get their plan, it applies a penalty (starting in 2014) for people who don't have health insurance, and expands medicare to cover people making under a certain income threshold. It also expands the age to which parents can put their children on their health care plans to 26, making health care for young adults already crippled with college debts an actual possibility.
