You are very welcome, and I very much hope you enjoy the rest of your night.
Whats Iordwr? Sounds Norwegian or something. In all seriousness, do you really expect me to try and tell you that socialism will change where people are born? No. Do you expect me to tell you socialism will save hundreds of millions? No. Do you expect me to tell you that socialism will automatically end world poverty? No again. What a global society should and hopefully would do is give those born in poverty stricken areas a fighting chance to survive and live to be successful and helpful to the Earth as a whole. Of course, in my lifetime it is unlikely a global society will ever emerge, so you can stop panicking Kali. However, this is something that civilization has been advancing towards forever, and if you would stop and look at history you would see that the closer you get to present day the closer nations are and the more they depend on each other.

Okey, i hate being on both sides at the same time..

We should have population control, be it through education, laws or violence. But this is besides the point.
People who hate rich people for being rich are delusional or jealous.
People who hate reds and commies, for hating capitalism & rich people, don't have any contact with actual socialists or are stupid.
People who think Marxism, Socialism, Communism, Juche etc. are the same, are pretty uneducated.

Socialist Utopia is a great idea, but in practice will only work in small societies (Tribes and Kiboetz).
Capitalist system will destroy the world, because of people like @Kali , no offence, but i don't think you care anyways.

The rest is simply too subjective

So, what have we learned today, kids?

Mosh is still banging his head against a brick wall,
    Kara is still 13,
    Kali is still a sociopath,
and The Shaw is still The Shaw.

Now, what was the original topic?

Two brick walls. The stupidity of both sides. Being on my own side is hard sometimes....

It's funny really. I've met plenty of really intelligent socialists before that put Kara et al to shame, but unfortunately they're all aged 40 and up and thus haven't got the time for gaming forums since they're out actually doing important stuff. That said, I suppose I consider myself both intelligent, and a socialist, but fuck arguing with Kali incorporated. What's the point?

Its not like I'm ever going to convince either side. But, oh well. I'm bored and I've got time on my hands.

This thread devolved fairly rapidly, in about a page or so. I guess it is the end of the argument, or soon at least. I shall leave one extra thing to say, directed @slydessertfox. Your worries about the population have strong foundations. It's just that first of all, the entire population of the western world needs to realise that it is high time that they acted on their word. Obesity rates in my own country, and in America, are stupidly high. The fact that people consume an amount of food in one week that could last any African family one month is absurd. Once people start consuming what they need, and not what they want, then the population will be entirely sustainable. Alas, I can't see anything like this happening in my lifetime, and it is even more likelt that such rates will rise. This is another thing I was indicating when I say that resource management is necessary for a sustainable planet, and a global community.

The problem is that once you combine "Intelligent" and "Socialist" into one mind it no longer conforms to the stereotypical American view of Socialism and thus it is hated because most right-wingers have build all the arguments towards arguing against that vastly outdated idea. Fortunately, once you combine the traits "Capitalist" and "Empathic" into one mind you end up with someone quite different from Kali.

No, that's not what he said at all and I really can't see how you got that out of his statement.

Isn't that what Kali does most of the time? Albeit far more... eloquently.

When he debates, he does so in order to win. If you want to win you can leave no room to even remotely consider that your enemies argument has the least bit of value, I highly doubt that he really thinks everyone else debating him is stupid, but he makes it seem like that because once you see that they are actually considering your argument to be remotely valid, then you could capitalise upon that point that they are considering. At least that is how I see it.

That's a thoroughly dumb way to debate. I've got far more respect for people that can admit that they're wrong, or that their opponent has made a valuable point. Doesn't matter whether you're blinded by ideology or your own inflated ego, you're still a jackass.

I agree, and that's why any argument involving Kali descends into rhetoric and insults. It's upto him how he debates with people, and his style might work for him, but for the quality of the discussion it is not helpful at all.
We might complain about our current politicians, but frankly it would be far worse if you had Cameron yelling 'Communist scum' every time Miliband started speaking.

Having said that, I realise this is an internet forum, and is only really here for our own enjoyment.

I would personally vote Kali for president, which I feel like in about 25-30 years I will have a chance to do.
