No, I'm talking about the European Union. It should first become a federation, and then the countries in it should be reorganized, step by step. And I think it'd work with China too, if it'd go worldwide, to be honest. I see no reason it wouldn't. The regions just have to be small in the east, and big in the west.
But a big organization can be tolerant too. There are many advisers in those countries, and they could look at stuff like that. Not every little thing has to be voted over democratically.

I have a feeling that many people would find your idea... unsettling, to say the least.
I do not find it as unsettling as they may.

I know. I'm an ideologist. I'm sure this will never happen.

Hmmm..... Great question. I don't know about the greatest, but a great moment would be the gathering of the constitutional convention for the writing of the U.S. constitution, one of, in my opinion, the greatest documents ever written.

For me it was landing on the moon. That moment, not only makes me proud of my country, but the entire world. That we as a people can all strive to do what once was thought to be impossible.

As for comparing Sputnik? I can get a balloon into space just as easy. Landing people on the Moon & having them return to Earth unharmed is far superior.

I find the invention of AC to be far superior.

You are clearly blinded by your love for the United States if you propose that rocket technology is a simple matter.

The goal of getting to the moon was an afterthought when the US lost the space race with the Russians.
