This is gonna be the second game I pre order. The first was madden 09
It is much larger than rome 1. So there will be ridiculous unit variety according to the links.

Someone has to tell me how this works, I don't fuckin' believe that. There's no way I could run Rome II.

Well it's ultimately up to how well do you implement options. If you do it correctly you can essentially have stick figure like 2d units running around, instead of glorious roman war machine. Some games do this better than others and games that are made for PC specifically tend to do this better.

Imagine....tens of thousands of roman legionaries and ships and siege towers with looks of terror on the face of some, excitement on the face of others, surging Carthage with every last Carthaginian citizen fighting to save their city fire burning everywhere, soldiers looting and pillaging the houses, people dragging their injured comrades away, centurions issuing orders, officers giving short soedches

They actually have a very good polish on this one it seems. If city was under siege for years and you fight in it streets will have dead people lying around and graffiti on the walls. Just give me 100 000 men battles with mod support and it'll be perfect game.

Plus siege battles ate in stages. I believe there can beultiple battles per siege where you gradually attack and consolidate. I love how they are incorporating ambushes in stiff like now you are actually hidden behind the buildings ready to lay an ambush.

I'm gonna continue it when I get back home. Without a computer and little 3G I can't do much until I get back on the 18th. Then I will continue the tourny as planned.
