So apparently Paradox's new game is going to be a fourth hearts of iron game. However instead of being set in ww2 its going to be set during the cold war from 1946 to 1991. Didn't they already try and fail with this sort of scenario with Supreme Ruler Series? So what are your thoughts
Supreme ruler wasn't developed be paradox, I don't think, it was only published by them. But this appears interesting. Links?
If they could maybe make it a bit less unnecessarily complicated this time, I'd appreciate it. Although I'll still probably just play Darkest Hour with the cold war addon.
Ya gimme links, also Darkest hour is not unnecessarily complicated, but I'd like an option to automate my air force.
Here is a link http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/content.php?1011-East-vs.-West-A-Hearts-of-Iron-Game!
Could be a year before it comes out. And I really don't think it's needed. It could easily just be an expansion for 15 dollars on Darkest Hour. But oh well.
It isn't Hearts of Iron IV. It's just a HoI style game. Darkest Hour is a Hearts of Iron game, that doesn't make it a sequel. I believe it's going to have a HoI-like military system.
Maybe it will have the style of victoria 2 in peace times. With kind of a more advanced IC system with fctory management and shit, diplomacywith making allies in the 3rd world and threating dem Commies(Hey it's the cold war) But that's just my predictions
I wouldn't be so sure. Remember, this is a Hearts of Iron game, which means that the focus will be on the military, not the economics.
They may combine the building of a military from HOI with the the diplomacy aspects from VickyII and EUII.
