He said we have to stay in Ancient era that is it. Even then they had this tech before 450 BC. http://www.britannica.com/blogs/2009/03/longest-aqueduct-in-the-world-discovered/ http://www.amna.gr/english/articleview.php?id=234 http://www.romanaqueducts.info/aquasite/samosarchaic/index.html
Sparta now gives females more education. Females now learn advanced mathematics, engineering, physics, and philosophy. Females now also get 5 years of military training starting when they are 10. The training involved is mainly archery, horseback riding, javelin throwing, acrobatics, and how to wield a short-sword. Women now serve in the military ages 10-40 Similar to men.
Ya the thing is those massive underground aqueducts took decades to build. You can't just like whip one out in a few years, and especially you can't make one in a single year like you apparently have given you never told anyone about it beforehand. Really what you're doing is making yourself impervious to sieges by making the city of Sparta entirely self-sufficient and by extension impenetrable without a huge force of soldiers. Not like it matters because it would be incredibly easy to poison the water supply and make the thing just as useful as an above ground one.
This thread isn't suppose to be historically accurate. I would wait a half a month to build a fucking aqueduct ruins RPing. It is the same reason we now colonies 5 provinces a day, nobody wants a slow game. Yes I am trying to make Sparta impervious to sieges. The real goal however is to make a ancient Greece Constantinople. Notice the huge ass wall and underground aqueduct.
Fatkid, theres a difference between a reasonable amount of rp time, and what you did. You did it in a year. A reasonable rp time would be ten years. And by the way, just because you have water running through the city, doesn't necessarily mean you have food too.
That is fine. Spartans were practically starved during training. We already have some agriculture within the city. It is small very small. I will let Mosh decide about my aqueduct to be fair. @General Mosh
The Council of Nobles has decided to buff uo the army of macedon to buff it's army to a 29 000 men army and 110 ship navy. The heir to the throne Monarches has made the decision. To disassemble the council in a year or so. The generals and high ranking nobles have questioned the decision, saying that the prince is still not ready for his return as king of Macedon. We expand 2 provinces east 2 west and 1 north.
ddbb, dude that army you have is 51 thousand strong, including the navy, and your entire population is 70,000. You can't have that.
Okay, but I haven't had a pop. growth since like two years. Then how bout around a 25k men armyand 100 ships?
Dalmatia realises they haven't actually colonised any provinces. Instead, they send out 10 warships southwards, past Sicily and onto the coast of what is called Africa, which Dalmatia believes to be a large island. 500 soldiers and several thousand Dalmatian residents travelled with the ships, and have set up a new settlement in Benghazi. This will be primarily a trading post, allowing goods from Africa to be found. @General Mosh Please add Benghazi to my empire.
Guys just because the combined might of half of Greece was sometimes above a hundred ships doesn't mean every single navy in the world gets 100 ships. Those battles thefatkid linked us too were some of the largest of their time. It's not like every city state ever had a billion ships to their name.
