What is your total population? What are you fighting? Ok, but which of MY empires are you sending to?
The harbour should be facing the ocean at the mouth of the delta, and the respective areas spread across the shores of the river Nile. Tyre also suggests we prepare a system of flood-barriers along the Nile, and bridges to connect the city all together. Perhaps, we could design wide bridges, with housing and buildings across them, in a similar way to the great cities of the Mediterranean.
Population got taken out of the game, but probably a little more than 120,000 people from a culture which is incredibly warlike. As for fighting, nothing really. We fought Barbarians once. But I assume the colonization often includes subjugating natives so I guess factor that in.
Athens had a 1 year six month supply of food so blockade isn't important anyways. What was is 6 MONTHS of siege and a plague. A fucking plague nobody is hiding from a plague. Imagine for six months the city you live in had nonstop barrage of rocks and corpses being flinged at it. Something tells me there won't be much left. Even more so you really think the moral of Athens is high fat chance.
The Levantine Kingdom will allow a colony, but only if it is run by a government of either Tyre or the Levantines. The Levantine Kingdom opens up a trade route with Athens port city of Piraeus, trading them food cheaply. This trade route runs to the north of Cyprus, and is guarded by all 40 of the Levantine Navy ships. The Levantine Kingdom armies in Cyprus continue to train.
Oh, sorry, I totally forgot you controlled Macedon. I guess this trade is between Dalmatia and the Imperium of Man. However, I already have a trade route between me and Macedon.
Dalmatia likes these ideas. We want no expense spared in the building of this city. We want marble palaces, we want golden statues, we want stone roads. Dalmatia suggests the building of the harbour and its defences should be the first priority for the new settlers.
We've agreed for a joint government of Dalmatians, Tyrians and Levantines, and several zones of ifluence, with some neutral areas between. We're also contributing funding, colonists and ships to the endeavour. We hope the Levantines also send colonists to join us in the creation of this new city. Also, what is your response to our proposal of a merge between our nations, to form Phoenicia once more? Joining this kingdom is entirely voluntary. Tyrian colonists will begin constructing a pier. Slaves which are not being sent to Sparta will be brought in to construct a stable dock, storage facility and housing.
I besieged a Barbarian village for a year. Nothing knew man. The plague isn't as bad as you're making it out to be. It's not like the Black Death with a third of the population dying. And for the most part this would affect the Athenian civilians, not their military. In a way, but by the nature of disease it would affect the Soldiers far less than the civilians. And this is a pretty minor plague anyway. It's not like the barrage is on full throttle the entire time. It's a light barrage. Maybe once every thirty minutes a rock might hit somewhere at most. You don't have the manpower to be shelling for 6 months straight nonstop maximum destruction. Nor the rocks for that matter. People are already dying of plague and starvation and giant bolder from the sky, why does that matter? Enough to mount a strong defense, that's for sure. Of course not. Your men have been away from their families for 6 months to go fight a war none of them want against an enemy they don't really despise that much. Actually they just finished working with them against the Persians and there had been a really strong feeling of a Greece cooperating going around. They're not very happy either. Though the moral of the Athenian civilians really doesn't matter. It's the military that matters. They'll probably be relatively brave given if they don't they'll all die and Athens will burn to the ground.
Not that I'm even part of this RPG but I just want to ask Kara to stop answering every single post by splitting up each sentence. It is the most irritating thing ever.
The Levantine Kingdom wishes for autonomy, and must reject this offer. Imperial, the Athenians have stacked there 50,000 troops in Athens with it's high walls, while around 80,000 troops are assaulting. I would think the assaulting troops would lose in this situation due to the high walls of Athens.
For me: 2,500 horse archers, 27,000 Spartans, 10,000 other hoplites, and 5,000 Sardinians. 42,000 soldiers. For Athens: 30,000 Athens hoplites, 15,000 other hoplites. 45,000 However I have no idea how many people died of plague that is your choice.
Tyre understands the Levantine's sentiments. Tyre will also ask whether the Levantines will give any funding or materials to the new joint city on the Nile delta.
