That was the main use of cavalry units. Last 'true' cavalry charge was done by Italians in 1942.

Myth: Constatine made Christianity the Official Religion of the Roman Empire
Fact: While Constatine was the first Emperor to convert to Christianity it wasn't until Theidosius was Emperor was Rome's old Polytheistic religion abandoned.

    Myth: Gladiators were All Men
Fact: Believe it or not Women gladiators did infact exist. They first appeared around the reign of Nero, and most likley existed before that and wasn't outlawed until around 200 AD. But they were usually from the upper-class who were trying to seek attention, not the slaves or criminals that made up most of the male Gladiators.

The USA, one of the most advanced military powers at the time, didn't commit any of the goals you went into the war with, suffering atrocious losses, massive public unrest, and general looked like douches in the eyes of the world. Meanwhile, the north-Vietnamese, a ragtag group of guerrilla fighters armed with inferior numbers, a 3rd world industry, and massively outdated weaponry, managed to go beyond any victory which they could have hoped for, unite their country, kick out world-power military/economic forces, gain popular support around the world, and unite their country. Yar, I'd say they won.

They still lost the war, and that's what matters. You (Or rather, 'We') lost.

yes indeed they lost the war, but then again, you can't say "hur hur a ragtag group of guerrilla fighters armed with inferior numbers, a 3rd world industry, and massively outdated weaponry, managed to kick out world-power military"

Actually you can, because that's what they did. It became too costly for US to stay.

Not too costly in military terms, it became so unpopular that they had to withdraw. The biggest and most influential protests started during and after the tet-offensive.

So in short the popular move was the cause of the withdraw, US public beat the armed forces if some one did, not the north Vietnamese. North Vietnam and vietcong were exhausted and depleted after the offensive. Us kicked it self out of Vietnam. . US lost the war, but not militarily, so it's moronic to say the least that " a ragtag group of guerrilla fighters managed to kick out world-power military"

Yar if you go by losses we absolutely destroyed the Vietnamese.

Plus it never was a war to lose.

And when you look at it, the US left Vietnam in 73, two years before the fall of South Vietnam. So by the time that we had left Vietnam, we had suceeded in our military objectives.

Don't let your hate for America cloud the truth.

You don't say, setting a dirt poor country on fire would certainly help, wouldn't it? I mean, seriously, who the fuck would expect the US to lose more than the Vietnamese.

What the hell is that supposed to mean?

Well, in that case, it was a devastating victory.

Coming from you, the least biased person about anything ever.

Well if we go about our actual mission statement, to prevent the spread of the communism in East Asia, we lost.

    Everyone's biased.

    It was a Police Action.

I am thinking this is sarcasm.

    Which happened after our involvement.

Exactly, so saying he's blinded by bias is incredibly hypocritical.

So the police can't lose? It wasn't the goal to lose? Again, what the hell were you talking about?

Well someone is on their sharpest today.

Your point being? For either a war or a "police action", you can't consider it a win when your goal is immediately wiped out as soon as you're gone.

    I don't consider it as a "win".

True but then again he did post a picture of a United States flag on fire and a video of 9/11.

We never were involved in a war. We were there for policing purposes. You can't lose a war you were never involved in.

Then why are we arguing again?

And it was new for you that Ler isn't in favour of the US?

Well, then instead of a loss, it was a failure. What a difference.

You're being sleezy. It's a fucking war, don't try and change the language to suit your purposes.
