Check out diggitysc and day9tv if you want to improve your general strategy and gameplay. They both cast high level (like top tier pros) games and break them down and analyze them for you. Huskystarcraft also has a bunch of tutorials on basic strategies and tips and tricks, but his casts are more fun then informative.

I haven't played since broodwars and my current computer has roughly 1/20th of the graphics requirements necessary to run sc2, but if people post videos of their gameplay I can understand it and give some basic tips and areas for improvement

I remember seeing one Starcraft 2 replay on HDs channel that sticks in my mind as a rather devious build. I haven't seen much of it, but it's really quite ingenious. This build is for Terran players.

You start of with a normal opening, build a few marines, get a reactor on the barracks, and then get a quick factory out. When the factory is finished swap out the reactor with the factory and get two hellions. Push out with your marines and hellions to trick your opponent into thinking you're going for a large ground force. Do some harassment then leave. While you're attacking the enemy base, get a tech lab on your barracks, and build two starports. Swap out one starport with the tech lab from the barracks and build a tech lab on the other, and begin pumping out banshees. This works best against zerg due to their lack of air defense at lower tech levels. They'll most likely only have a few queens out, and your banshees will quickly kill them.

I probably have some aspects of this build wrong, and I don't know the exact supply at which you should get everything, but it was quite fun to watch in use, and the Terran player won handily.

A good hint would be always finish off your oppenents in 2v2-3v3-4v4. They might seem defeated but they rapidly recouperate if they are not stopped. As the third rule of NKVD ''Show no mercy'' clearly states.

Even though Im a noob at SC, I recommend using a few early Reapers, then turtling up, and starting to tech towards... Damn Im rusty, those helicopter-airplane things with the cloaking ability, massing about 4-6 of them, then charging the enemy supply lines. Usually causes ragequit if opponent wasnt ready to counter air, otherwise you can sally out of your base with the remaning troops and take them while theyre weakened.

For lower level play I wouldn't really suggest this as it's fairly micro intensive and it's predicating on your opponent reading what you're doing and reacting. Lower level players are usually just going to go for their build no matter what you do so you don't need to employ as much trickery. Just make sure if you're doing any sort of harass to tech for it (ie cloak for banchees, or the flame thing for helions), and don't get to focused on the harass micro that you're letting your macro slip (ie use the opportunity to expand, b/c you know your opponent is busy fending you off and not expanding).

get a crap load of infestors, mind control an enemy scv, build a command center. Build terran units as zerg, own.

I saw that happen in a match once.

MOTHAFUCKING TEXAS! I know, I feel bad for me too.
I have two pretty nice zerg builds, one is Spire based the other is ground.
    Hatchery(expo) at 14
    Extract 13
    Pool 15 (or 16)
    Choose from there
Gives very nice eco edge and is also good cuz by the time that the hatch is done, depending on pool timing ull hav double queens fast and will get ton of larvae fast.
    Also gives very quick speedlings.

I wouldn't suggest getting either Banshee cloak or Infernal Pre-Igniter, because you're not actually going to be using either for harassment. You get very few hellions to make your opponent think you're going for them, and then use banshees as the core of your army after your opponent goes for a large ground force. Both upgrades aren't a necessary investment if you're not using the units for harassment.

True, but I was talking about using the units for harass. I don't really like using Banshees in general because they're pretty easy to counter unless you alter your ground army composition to protect your banshees which takes valuable supply away from units that are better suited to destroy your opponent.

Another rather awesome (if slightly impractical) strategy is the Archon toilet. It requires at least 3 top-tier units to pull off, but when it works it's spectacular. You need a mothership, high templar, and archons. When you engage the enemy's large army, put down a vortex with your mothership and suck in the enemy's army, hopefully the entire thing. Send your archons into the vortex as well, then arrange your army around the vortex. When the vortex dissipates, drop as many psi storms as possible on the enemy army, which should be clumped up into a little ball. As this happens, your archons will be doing splash damage to the entire enemy army with their attacks. Works best against Zerg, as archons do bonus damage to biological units. I once saw a game in which a Zerg army dropped from 200 supply to 80 in no more than 3 seconds thanks to an Archon toilet.

Would this be the game you're referring to?

toilet goes down around 16:50, goes from 200 supply to 90 supply in 4 seconds

Why yes, it is. I would have watched that moment over and over again if Husky hadn't already done it for me, in glorious slow motion.

my usual strategy as terrans is like the zerg rush because i rush all my units everything including scv's to that one specific area it'll work out for anyone who has a lot of troops that can lag even the best computers but it always works out but results may vary       ( im trying to kill the noobs)

I am by no means a star craft pro but I in both star crafts have done the same thing

I play Zerg and fucking bum rush Zerglings and take out other players economy fast
(hit them where it really hurts)
and constantly annoy them with Zergling patrols
this will give me an advantage of time until I can build up hordes of Zergling
(I mean ass much as I can)
with some hydralisks for air defence
and I take my hordes and for from one base to the next
its not complicated or ingenious but it works
    get down and dirty

p.s. there are usually huge casualties but with zerglings what do you expect
