Having technology is different then a person being alive. You see, you HAVE to be an asshole about this, I know, hard for you to understand. You COULD just ask questions about stuff like this, for instance: 'Why is it you didn't allow Scipio Africanus or Alexander the Great, but allow technology up to 200?' And we would answer. Not to mention, giving you Scipio Africanus would not only be geographically incorrect, but he would be no more/less important then anyone else. This is just the rule that we have come up with. Technology is meant to stay within the technology age limit, that is to say, it can go up to 200 BC, but no further. Plate armor is allowed in segments, such as the Lorica Segmentata, but full plate is not. Given how tech research works in the game, we aren't picky about where it historically came from.

ACTUALLY we can't use Lorica Segmentata. As much as I love it, I looked it up, and the first recorded use of it is from 9 bc. :/
