Out of the full 90,000 levies stationed in the New Munich fort, 30,000 are to become archers, 20,000 spearmen and 40,000 axe warband with 10,000 of each class trained from levy to soldier in 1 year. Axe warband will recieve an additional year after turning into warband from levie to become proper infantry. The whole lot [without additional warband training] will take 4 years to complete. For professional warband it will take 8 years. The New Munich city is also to build a large wall around it, taking 2 years to complete.
The 2nd Fleet loads up all but 25,000 of the IoM British Expedition and sets sail for Ireland. The 10th and 11th Fleets begin partolling IoM British Terrictory waters.
You put it as 25,000 infantry (trained) and 10,000 levees. For the ones that aren't controlled by a player, that is.
1. Repeating Crossbows have a quite small effective range. Not only that, but the arrows that fit inside the repeating crossbows are thin and pretty weak. You get more shots off, but less power behind them, and less range. Not a tradeoff I enjoy. 2. Polybolos not only have a range about the same as a bows, but are prone to break down, and are inaccurate. And I can always get a polybolo my self.
That is why i use them for my walls. I don't use them for battles. These weapons are good for defensive purposes. That is why every window at the wall of Sparta has a crossbowman. On the top deck lays a deck with polybolos's which are used to take down heavy units.
