Oh, sorry. I mistakened him for that pinkish-red patch next to my provinces in Africa. I don't have anything in France. IoM moves the troops to the IoM-Venice border. @Thefatkid @thelistener No need for having 50% of your pop. military right now... not concerning me anyways. I just got turned around on the map.
Oh yes training them YES. if not one of the big powers will come in, swoop on him! It is the only way i kept my independence.
Athens begins to equip all their ships with a new technology called the Corvus and ballistae. We also begin to train our soldiers to use ballistae on land. Athens walls are also beginning to be equipped with ballistae as well as the walls of most other strategic cities. The 40 quadriremes are incorporated into the navy of 70 triremes giving me a navy of 110 warships. They will be on constant training sessions to insure that they are an extremely well trained navy. As for colonization, I would like to colonize 5 provinces around my north African province.
I think by now with the Spartans throwing their resources in to help, 25,000 of the 100,000 soldiers have been trained in the latest state of the art spartan style of warfare. By midnight tomorrow the whole army will be done thanks to the joint Athenian-spartan endeavor to train them.
How about no war bears....I mean first of all they couldn't go on along march you know because it's hard to keep a war bear famed in the first place... Also, the construction of the epic temple to Zeus is underway.
Levying The Basque tribes have been completed, new Military census holds Legio at 120,000 trained Legionaries, and 60,000 archers, Caballero Horsemen Are now at 25,000, Basque galleys are scrapped and made into 12 new warships, the IR navy now stands at 152 warships. - 45 light Ramming ships controlled by archer Marines - 70 heavy ballista ram ships - 47 medium Attack Ships armed with Archers and marines.
I know, it will pretty much end up as Parthenon 2.0. Probably. It is either that or statue of Zeus. I rather have a zeus Parthenon.
Franks starts to build stone wall on Bordeaux replacing the wooden palisade, this will take one year. Mayors of cities are being asked to slowly try to replace wooden palisades and make stone walls, this might take 2-4 years. Also all peasants who are part of the levy are obligated to be organized for training (20 000 of my levy manpower) to make militias. (I don't mean new troops I just mean, I will train the levy manpower pool I already have, part of it actually. The rest of those levys will be trained in time) militias who will be used against bandits and during war time would serve as boost to standing army or as a quick levy for Romulus. These militias will be trained of pace of: 2500 men per year. First patch will be spearmen.
The glorious nation of Armenia enters the fray: With 27 pieces of land, their population will be 270000 strong, half of which could be made into an army, if i got that right? Obviously 135000 men would be a bit gamey for a nation which has just started, so i guess im training 20000 swordsmen, 20000 spearmen and 10000 archers. Other then that i'm going to focus my attention on colonizing the land to the east.
Yeah, that's right. IoM begins construction of 80 Penance-class warships. IoM weaponry and armor now uses steel as the standard. IoM shield will remain iron, however.
My navy is 125 ships or so. You have to add to your army if you want to win. And I dont exactly see YOU going halfway across the known world to fight in a icy hell-hole...... Finally you joined.... I have had a small army in Armenia recruiting your men for a while now. I think I have 5k venitian soldiers and 7k armenian spearmen
