Dalmatia will raise troops in Europe, up to the maximum of half our population. All capable men will be drafted into the army. That equals 225,000 men, as we have 45 European provinces. They will be trained by the 7,000 Danzig mercenaries, plus some Spartan and Athenian help. 70,000 Dalmatian light hoplites (Spartan trained) 100,000 Dalmatian heavy swordsmen 35,000 archers 20,000 cavalry Furthermore, @darthdj31 has said I control Libya, and so Iwill conscript men there, again upto the maximum of 50% of the population. There are 36 Libyan provinces under my command, so I will raise the full quota of 180,000 African levies. These will be trained by the 50 Spartans in Benghazi, and my 500 men there, in Spartan military tactics. 100,000 African hoplite levies 30,000 desert horse archers 30,000 desert horsemen 20,000 archers All boats shall be recalled from patrolling trade routes, 15 to Delminium (my capital) and 15 to Benghazi. I will start building a further 40 boats, 20 in Europe and 20 in Africa. All units will begin training immediately. Dalmatia shall have glory!
I've updated the map for my own gains of today and yesterday @darthdj31 Who is the Reddish country directly below Dijon (the blue country under me)?
New Scythia. I am in the process of updating everything, I am still confused about Ankara. @Skyicewolf
Athens gets two coastal provinces and Scyice gets everything else. I would like the two coasta provinces right next to my other anatolian provinces. The awesome temple to Zeus is rededicated to Athena instead. It shall be called the Parthanon.
@UtterlyImpeccable You realize that you have 35 provinces and a total pop. of 350,000, right? You can raise 175,000 military at your height.
I counted. From the latest map, the one on page 280, I have 40 provinces in Europe, and there are 41 Libyan provinces under my control. You can check if you like, I am sure of these numbers.
No, I don't control Dijon. Yeah, but you are supposed to have Lybia function as a seperate entity, not an extention of your empire.
They have partial independence, but I don't know how or why. Darth also said I can raise levies there, as they are under my control.
They are NPC. Darth is in control of them. Yeah, but they are supposed to act in the interest of their own empire. You didn't see me dragging fleets of ships and marching troops to defend Moscow from Scythia, did you?
Athens sends 500 of its best officers to Dalmatia to train their newly recruited trooops along with the Spartans sent there. This is a traded deal in exchange for purple dyes and salt from Dalmatia.
