Yes. Each of your provinces adds 10,000 to your population. Which means if you colonize 5 provinces tomorrow then you will get 50,000 more population, meaning 25,000 more possible levies.

New Munich Raises 105000 Levies from its German Provinces. They will be trained as such 5000 Munich Huscarls [Heavy infantry with heavy round shields and two handed axes with short swords for back-up] 20,000 Saxon cavalry [Light cavalry armed with a spear and a fast horse] 30,000 archers 30,000 spearmen and 20,000 axe warband [standard infantry armed with a round shield, axe, and throwing axes] 10,000 will be trained per year of course.
It's also extremely unmaneuverable, and an army with soldiers trained in roman like tactics will surround and kill a phalanx unit.
Not if i have the cavalry superiority, your men start slashing against my guys, at the same time my cavalry will swing from the flanks and game over. Especially when my "phalanx" units are more maneuverable, they aren't hoplites they are more like this their phalanx is more like a spearwall, and this represents my cav
Yea, the thing about Phalanxes is that they'd have longer pikes then your men, If we're going by the picture. So they'd essentially be able to break through your spearwall by the cirtue of..... well.. longer pikes. And that's great about your cav, but if the enemy has any amount of cav, or other infantry, your in trouble.
Training continues, and 1 in 5 of the melee infantry troops begin building siege equipment, and train in their usage. The desert horsemen and horse archers are almost ready, as their martial prowess is traditional and they do not require much training, only learning the ways of the Dalmatian forces.
The IoM moves reserve forces to the borders to man the defenses in the face of the impending invasion from Egypt.
We decided to do a foreign invasion scenerio to force people into action... and to spice stuff up a bit.
@darthdj31, Dijon's former owner has given me permission to combine my nation with his and create the Kingdom of Gaul. So can you just make all his territory my color please?
