I am amending the constitution so that anyone who has been banned cannot run for tribune. And eliminating the rule in which anyone formerly in Che’s Fantasy cannot run.
This makes sense, although for more reasonable members I think it would be wise to first look at the nature of the ban.
Ban is a ban, regardless of severity it's our forum's equivalent to felony conviction. Hence no campaigning for public office.
Very well. I suppose when you phrase it that way, it does make sense. Still not sure I agree all the way though...
yeah, I mean the person was banned for a reason. Unless they can show they're worthy, why give them power?
You can consider Double Posting like Spam, and Spam is like Graffiti. It's easy to make, assholes do it on purpose, and someone needs to go clean it up. But as far as I know, you can't get your right to run for office taken away for Graffiti, especially if half the times are on accident and the other half are simply lazyness. I can't run because I was banned for double posting? I mean, double posting! Not to mention, about 15(and that's a high estimate) double posts out of 2k posts? That's like .75% of my posts...
You could, assuming you had enough counts of it to merit a felony charge, which is analogous to your case. No one else has double posted enough to merit banning. I don't make the rules, I just enforce them. Oh wait, yes I do. Sucks to be you HAHAHAHAHA!
Ya but usually there'd be a small jail time, say 3 day (my ban length), as a "warning" for the felony. So really, the amendment would be a lot more reasonable being: Two banning accounts for 1st Tier Offenses One banning account of a 2nd or 3rd Tier Offense And of course the 2nd banning for 1st Tier would come a lot faster than the 1st banning.
Not nessisarilly. I presume the mods won't veto something like making it only 2nd tier(or 2 separate 1st tier) bans. I also think vice-versa.
