Of course the mods don't care. It doesn't adversely effect them. and did you not just see the system I suggested? I agreed that it should be difficult, and if you didn't notice, Matt agreed with me. Also, are you suggesting that we just ignore it when something happens? From the person who didn't even want reform, it's not surprising that you want our voices silenced.

Please enlighten me on how the mods don't care, besides from your vague explanation on it doesn't adversly affect them. When, let's say, a Tribune does abuse their power... which, as far as I know, is breaking the rules, correct me if I am wrong, and they're breaking very serious rule at that.... the mods uphold the rules so, I am assuming here that it would effect the mods, seeing as they have to uphold the rules.

It's not against the rules for a tribune to act against the wishes of the people, which would be an abuse of power.

Sooner than I expected, hardly a surprise though. We both know why you want this system instituted. Stop hiding behind this facade.

I'm not trying to impeach you, as I stated in the OP, but if you stand for us, then give us the means to remove you.

Regardless of Link's motivations, I don't think having some sort of impeachment system that is hard to do will really harm anyone but wrongdoers. I mean, if we want to run this forums like a democracy, we might as well go the whole nine yards.

Well, this is the 3rd time I've said that I'm not trying to impeach Ler or Ronald. I said it in the OP, and like 2 posts before yours.

Okay, i've re-red the topic, and i'll take that back, but bringing up a topic about impeachment, you must have something wrong with the current tribunes.

Well, I don't think the tribunes' decision on the new rule regarding warnings was a reflection of the people they're supposed to be representing. If a tribune were to do that on a regular basis, or otherwise ignore the wishes of the people, we would need to have the power to remove them from their position.

It would have to go through a vote.

A system would need to be devised that would protect the tribunes from being removed unless a large majority were in favor of it.

What the fuck can they abuse? The most they can do is try to make rules we dont like or do nothing at all. Then this is easily counter-balanced by an active tribune or one that has differing views to the bad one. Its already stupid enough that we had to go through this whole issue in the first place. Now you want to fuck around with this idea even more? This is a forum not a government bro. We seriously need to stop treating it as such. The only reason why I even vote is to make sure some nutjob doesnt get voted on. Plus the tribunes may actually end up bringing ideas to the mods that they may overlook.

Also I find it kind of funny the whole reason we got the tribune implented was because people think the mods are corrupt. Now you are already preparing for the worst incase the tribune is corrupt too! Mabye we should make a third tier to add to it.... like a senate or house of representatives.
