Nazimods eh? Yes I'm sure this site is so much worse than a lot of others, our mods are the worst, truly horrible, that's why we ban everyone for speaking against us right? Oh wait... No our site is a lot fairer than a lot of sites.

Link, what the fuck are you babbling on about... Nazimods?, Inequality?... & Abuse of power? - All wrong, this site is one of the fairest places on the web, and if you're blinded by this fact, by your over aggressive mindset that it's either fucking amazing or totally shit, then that's your problem... don't try and spout slanderous accusations and get others to do so... because what you're saying and what is actually the case, are two, very, different things.

You guys relize though that if you lightened the rules for locking that actually means less work for you and more content forum-goers. Everyone wins!

You do realize it only takes us less than 5 seconds to lock a thread right. Also how would this make more content forum goers?

Ya but those are 5 seconds you could've been spending blowing people's limbs off in TF2 or doing homework or curing cancer.

And ya, I just pulled that happiness thing out of my ass. I guess a poll would be do, but like fourth of the people who would vote would be mods and mods would all vote for the current locking system.

We lock threads at our discretion. If we feel it is needed then we lock it. That's all there is to it.

History has told us that those that feel, "That's all there is to it" are often in for incredibly big suprises.

    Anyway as a response, nah.

Only lock for off-topicness/spam if there have been 3 full pages of irrelevntness.
In off-topic and People's Assembly, threads would be unlockable.
If the thread is in neither role-playing, the People's Assembly, or tech help, the thread starter would not be call for a lock after 2 pages of conversation.

If you don't want things locked in the People's Assembly don't spam also why wait for three pages.

Not gonna happen. Suggesting that threads be unlockable is never gonna fly. Stalin is never going to limit our ability to do our jobs.

that sound pretty close to what we do already, amount of off-topicness varies a little more though
they're locked for a reason, when rules are broken or things become wildly irrelevant it's time to stop it. We should be able to keep jurisdictional power over the entire forum.
It's their thread they should have the chance to close it, the only times I've seem the creator want his thread to be locked is when things become horribly off topic or devolve into a mud-slinging game

They don't get spammed, more they get locked because we all start arguing and thus are not worthy of living.

Anyway, it's more preference except for a few things.

It's more practically unlockable than completly unlockable. I mean at some point they'd be lockable.

Because then the idea itself is forgotten and even if it was a good concept it does not get implimented.

Anyway, what are you doing here?

Can I lock this thread yet? The issue in question has been resolved and no one else is backing up Link and Kara, so I am going to say that no one else cares.

It's close, but without some base it can get rediculous. If 3 pages is already what Mods do, then it's ever more reasonable.

Off-topic is exactly that. It's supposed to be off-topic. People's Assembly doesn't get spammed or anything, it just gets arguing and ends up locked after the Mods discuss it for 5 minutes or something.

A thread is made up for the people who post in it. Only in the People's Assembly, tech help, and role-playing is the thread usually resting on the founder.
