As you are all well aware, a specific sect of forum members have expressed their dissatisfaction with the 'governmental' structure of the forum (if you could call it that), as of late. They feel that they have been singled out for their beliefs by moderators who, to put it bluntly, think that their beliefs are stupid. While I do disagree with them wholeheartedly, I feel that this discontent stems from the lack of representation among the moderators. That is why I am proposing that another moderator be added, one who holds the beliefs of this particular sect, so they are permanently represented among the mods, outside Tribune elections, of course. I do feel that the current staff has done a fair job of enforcing the rules unbiasedly, but for the sake of keeping the forum in a relative state of calm, I making this proposition. I feel that it is up to the people, mods and members alike, to decide this issue, and if I feel that the issue does not get a resounding support from the community, I will publicly request that the thread be locked and drop the subject.

    A few final words:
To the Communists: While I disagree with you, I am trying to help you. I hope that you will see this as a sign that the forum is not alienating you, and you will stop this nonsense with the spam threads.

To the rest of the Community: This is a place that we come to express ourselves, and while I feel it still is, some of us do not. Keep that in mind.

To the Mods: You do bash heads with these guys often, and I can understand why they feel underrepresented. I implore all of you to take this request seriously, and think about what is best for the all of the forum. You have done a fantastic job so far, and I hope you will continue to do so.

Edit: To be perfectly clear, this will add a mod only; no other mod will be removed in this process.

I usually take their side if it is actually significant.

They don't feel that way so... unfortunately, not really. However, would you support this?

Our political beliefs are not apart of our enforcement of the rules, we the posters and we the moderator are for all intents and purposes different people. That being said if the leftists here think they need one of their own to have a different colored name to have some kind of representation they are sorely mistaken.

    I don't support adding a new mod.

They dislike Virtual Representation. It is understandable. Though you may see it as separate, you are the same physical being when moderating and giving your opinion.

Truthfully, I really don't know what they feel, this is just my interpretation. However, I can see that they are underrepresented among the mods, even if the mods do keep their identities as posters and as mods separate. And shrugging them off like this will only heighten their feelings.

Then if communists get representation, what about the fascists?

The communists represent a large enough sect of the forum to have the need for representation.

You don't support anything. Unless of course it involves making me search for a new sig. (asshole)

They don't need it it's matter of if it's against the rules. I usually agree that the mod who made the comment is out of line and I would have liked to at least see one warning out of it. Also Demondaze when did I ever tell you to get a new sig?

He couldn't be politically motivated in any moderating decisions made, and I don't think that LeninCat for instance having a blue name would fix their main problem of Kali being mean to them. So this would be purely symbolic and a little token-y

Well no one said you can't use a series of still images and I'm also not the only one.

Well, ComradeLer has been Tribune twice, so I'd assume he knows his way around the block, but I really can't attest to that because I can't actually view his decisions in the mod thread. And even if it were merely symbolic, the importance is that they are represented in the system fairly. We all talk of democracy and equal representation, and now we are finding out how hard it is to truly follow our own doctrine.

No. We already have way more mods than we need, and the addition of me and Mayor already put us at over capacity. We don't let our respective ideologies temper our judgement, so there is no call for this.

It has nothing to do with your moderating decisions. They find it disconcerting that there are no mods that support their ideology publicly.

I understand their issue, it's just that I don't care. Our ideologies should have no bearing on our position, and shouldn't be relevant at all.
