    This is true.

A seventy-two year old man re-mortgages his house. Why? To try and find a cure for his wifes cancer. He doesn't and his wife dies. Later he can not afford to pay the mortgages on his house, where his daughter had her wedding reception and where he has lived for 30+ years. The house is re-possesed and the man is thrown out of it.

How can people live in a society as unjust and cruel as this one?

There's no such thing as "civilized". We are animals in the long run. This is supposed to happen.

As Toast said, Survival of the fittest.

This happens all the time, people don't complain when young people get their houses re-possessed, it's life, deal with it.

Life isn't all gumdrops and rainbows, when life hits you, it hits hard, You just to get back on that horse and ride to greener pastures.

What the fuck, you heartless cunts. How could this possibly be considered "a part of life". Put yourself in that blokes fucking shoes for a second. How the fuck would you be able to manage with no wife and no house at 72 years of age? You wouldn't. If you can seriously see nothing wrong with that then you need to go and see a psychiatrist. Wankers.

Honestly, its terrible its a goddamn fallacy, I feel bad for the man but there are people who are worse off, I wish i could help that guy, but you can't save everybody.

i think this holiday is getting to me I feel all gloomy....

I'm not saying it's not sad. If you can't grasp the phrase "survival of the fittest", don't get worked up about people saying it.

I am getting worked up about people saying it because that is the largest barrier in today's society. You are weaker and are in a worse position than me, therefore I can do whatever I want to you. I hate that fucking attitude so much.

So you want to make an exception for every single case like this? That's pretty much impossible, and if you'd only help a single case, all the other people in the same situation would get pretty pissed. No matter how much you want it, you can't help everyone.

Bad luck is something that has always existed, exists and will always exist, therefore it is something we need to deal with as it is part of life. On the other hand the system in which we live is not inevitable and determines our capability to resist bad luck...and well lets just say that we are now in a position that doesnt really increases our capabilities to resist bad luck in our lives.

One day at a time, I don't like it when people try to present themselves as morally superior. People have bad luck deal with it.

How does it make me morally superior? You generally don't see how this is fucking snide?

Then you needed to pay for their cancer, then they died, then you turned to others, but your lands were invaded by Iceland and you joined the British Army for salvation?

    Although that sounds cool..

Shit happens, no matter what economic or governmental system you use, someone is gonna get fucked over, hate to break it to you, but we don't live in a utopia, the world is not perfect and shitty things can happen to those who don't deserve them.

People are either agreeing with you or and I quote, "a headless cunt". I understand that I'm being a dick but I'm not going to pass moral judgement on someone because I disagree with someone on welfare issues. If you feel so bad for this man bring him into your home but bitching at people through the internet isn't goingto help him.
