    The Quiz
This quiz is by the Canadian Centre For Policy Alternatives. I find this to be a much better quiz than the one before. I manged to do this with a 21 billion$ surplus in 2014-2015 while greatly expanding social services. What is your budget?

I don't think it's that good. There's only 3 things that you can cut. That said, I was able to get rid of Canada's deficit by cutting those things.

I just noticed that. Plus, it's climbing.

I don't think there's anything you can do to stop it rising. I implemented pretty much every measure to keep unemployment down, while still having a budget neutral by 2014.

I don't know how to put links in single words like that. It seems to be a pretty nifty trick. Anywho, I didn't spend on anything and no new taxes were levied and unemployment is going down.

My problem is you have no budget surplus. I think the reason unemployment is high is because more people are being educated. i think the only reason they let you cut much is that it would end your political career pretty quickly. You can also put the link in one word by typing out what you want, highlighting it then click the link button and your set.

Only because it's higher than mine was in the first place.
    You've done virtually nothing.

    @0bserver92
What do you mean by that, do you mean too many people have degrees and not enough graduate jobs?

You have a trend of upward unemployment, while I have a trend of it going down. In 10 years, my plan will have less unemployment than yours would.

True, but I didn't want to raise more taxes. I don't see how education would raise unemployment. Thanks for the info.

You cannot assume that, your level of unemplyment would most likely level off at a higher rate than mine is.

It's because there would be more university educated people seeking university level jobs.

I don't see what would make you think that.

Just because unemplyment is going down, it doesn't mean jobs will continue to be created. If my level started off lower than yours, it is likely more jobs overall will be created.

And even if this is not the case, there is certainly nothing to suggest your unemployment figures would continue to go down.

Unless you're implying that my policy of cutting spending to the military and closing a tax loophole will somehow result in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of unemployed people, I don't see how new jobs wouldn't be created.

There's also nothing to suggest your unemployment wouldn't skyrocket out of control and cause a mass communist revolution in Canada resulting in a bloody 7 year civil war that leaves the country a broken mess where the US sees fit to annex the country outright to stop the political upheaval and then China invades Alaska and then Fallout happens. What's your point?

Just that you can't judge by the figures in our respective 'budgets' what will happen in the future.

Yes, but if we follow the trends, my unemployment is going down while yours is going up.

My point is, you cannot assume they will continue like that. You just cannot do that.
