There's no reason for a forum of our size to utilize party politics.

All it will serve to do is factionalize our users against each other more than we already are once every two months.

There's no reason an individual and their supporters can't properly organize themselves for two weeks for the bi-monthly tribunal election.

At the rate we're currently moving at, we'll have 20 parties by the end of the weekend.

And the parties will have an average memberbase of 1.

There's no reason for us to have explicit parties representing us.

I propose an outright ban of explicit political parties on the forum.

I disagree. In fact, I say we take it a step further, and introduce lobbying groups, and eventually unions. Maybe we can even form a united-nations type organization with some other big forums!

Absolutely! As of typing this, I am undergoing negotiations with representatives of Stormfront, bay12, 4chan and the bethesda forums. So far, it's going good - I've managed to secure us a permanent position on the security council and everything!

I say we throw that council into the sun and make a new one made up of this forums members solely.

I was joking. But yar, I agree, adding in political parties to the midst is just going to make things even worse. The forums are far too factionalized as is, and we don't have the membership to justify it either.

Just to be clear I am a very sarcastic human being, in fact sometimes I be sarcastic for sarcasms sake, although I admit it was kind of stupid I got some laughs out of it in the end.

So far there's been two, which has become one. I'd say we can just forget anything ever happened. No point curtailing something we don't have and that people might want (goodness knows why) at some point in the future.

Well no-one is really making any parties other than a candidate in the election claiming"He is a party".
Maybe we have schitzofrenic members, but I think they will never have any followers.
And I think they still just want to represent us still with a policy that they think is benefical.

As of lobbying.I think they're just brainstorming and sharing ideas of how to make the forums better IF would get any support.

I still say explicit parties should be expressly banned in the constitution.

Although I dislike parties who work for only the party parties on a wide scale will be needed. They allow people with loosely connected view to share opinions.
