Lebanon has had its share of instability, marked by civil wars and fighting with Israel... and also Syria occupied Lebanon for say 30 years.
    http://www.state.gov/j/drl/rls/hrrpt/2010/nea/154466.htm
This big report states that Lebanon:
"There were limitations on the right of citizens to change their government peacefully. Unknown actors committed unlawful killings, and there was one reported disappearance during the year that may have been politically motivated. Security forces arbitrarily arrested and detained individuals. Torture of detainees remained a problem, as did poor prison conditions, lengthy pretrial detention, and long delays in the court system. The government violated citizens' privacy rights, and there were some restrictions on freedoms of speech and press, including intimidation of journalists. The government suffered from corruption and lack of transparency. There were limitations on freedom of movement for unregistered refugees. Widespread, systematic discrimination against Palestinian refugees and minority groups continued. Domestic violence and societal discrimination against women continued, as did violence against children and child labor."
BTW, 17,000 people dissapeared in its Civil war, if that is any indication.

To be honest its those damn Ottomans fault for collapsing like that.

But it could go over into Lebanon, but not at the present moment.

Bashar has the reigns in Syria, and Lebanon won't do anything unless Syria does anything.

Except it has spilled over into Lebanon. They had a few skirmishes between pro/anti bashar in the north.

Well from what I see, is that this whole revolution idea is a Fad, a very risky one..

This Arab Spring is now loosing gas it is becoming Summer, and rebels and army personnel probably won't want to fight.

Plus in Syria there are UN inspectors so neither side can do anything raunchy now.

This is a fad? Thousands of people have died in the last year, and protests are still happening, and defections too, an you think this is a fad?

    Don't be an idiot.

And the other side is protesting for Pro Government with Pro Assad protests, soldiers remaining loyal.

This "Fad" caused by the Western nations will soon bite them back once themselves have protestors turned into rebels on them.

And why hasn't the revolution in Bahrain work? Because that nation is a Western backed regime. And the others (not backed by the West) will do what they can to resist imperialist aggression.

Libya has fallen but not forgotten, Syria will remain strong with its relations with many countries.

They haven't done much about Syria yet because it doesn't have oil. But enough bloodshed, and yea, they'll jump in.

There were also UN inspectors there when the biggest bomb detonated during the entire revolution went off in their capital....
And you are aware people die there still everyday right?

Could it spread? Only if the Syrians topple Assad, the odds of which are lowering everyday. The Arab Spring is losing a lot of steam at this point, and it could even end by late summer.

That would be a pity, it had such great potential.

Why do people keep claiming this, there is still activities going on across Yemen and Bahrain. Libya still has problems and there is protest through out the middle east. Yes it has been bogged down in Syria but there is still suffering and "civil war" and the rebels still exist thus there are still those pushing to topple Assad.

For the rebels the cause is not lost, they just have to act differently with the U.N in the country.
