I tagged you 4 because you were part of the off topic discussion on Kali's "mandate" thread.

So, what do you guys think about cyber bullying? And people that commit suicide or attempt to because of cyber bullying? I believe that people should not commit suicide because of it, but I can certainly see where they are coming from and I don't think committing suicide cause of it makes you weak minded.

    So, shoot away.

Ok, serious mode on. I think we can divide cyber bullying in the occasional "hur dur you are ugly", and the chronic bullying that undermine the person self-esteem and all that. The second case can be a serious thing, and people who commit suicide because of this usually has other problems; the bullying could be a catallyst, if you will.
Although, of course, my knowledge of psychology is just 1 yard beyond average.

I agree with Yarpen. I think if you look at the statistics you will find people that killed themselves because of cyber bullying were most likely being bullied for some sort of mental disorder in the first place. Or physical disorders. Or maybe they were just fat, who knows? I understand that if someone is bullied in school and out, and not able to get away from it, then I can understand them committing suicide. I don't think its right, and I don't condone it. But I can see where they are coming from.

It's super easy to avoid cyber bullying. Don't add douchebags on facebook?

There is an implied superiority when most people talk about this subject. Like they'd handle it so much better if they were in the same circumstance. Also, our society is not based around survival of the fittest, that's self-evident. Let's be fair, most of us wouldn't be here if it was.

If you commit suicide because of what some people on the internet said to you I say good riddance. It's social darwinism. If your so weak that you can;t handle it do the world a favor and off yourself.

Cyber bullying is joke, it consists of spoiled middle class teenagers who take themselves way to seriously, and think their lives are ruined when some asshole makes fun of them on facebook.

That's pretty hilarious if you wouldn't be here but don't assume we're all athletically challenged retards, melan.

But yeah no real bullying is a problem internet bullying is for brats who can't help but go find people to make fun of them.

Yo Melanthropist, don't just post quotes. Our almighty Queen gets grumpy when you do. (and it's against the rules... I think)

    Back on topic:
Gotta agree. I don't have a Facebook and I really couldn't give a rat's ass about what people say about me on it, even if I'm told their saying stuff.
I think in many cases there's a little more then that, but there's also a lotta truth there.

Let's be honest, Don't you think people over react just tad bit when they commit suicide because someone called them a mean name on a website?
