It would be interesting, although there's always the problem with checksums and time zones. I'm assuming if we're going to do this, we'll use the 5.1 patch, right? I'll be getting the official one once I finish my LP and reinstall the game and the mods I had, plus some extras.

I'll join, I haven't participated in any DW multiplayer games, though, my only experience is with Victoria 2 when it comes to Paradox. If we're going to be playing I'd recommend that everybody used the latest patch, no mods, as they change the checksum.

So should we try and set something up?

Using the latest patch no mods etc and just have a laugh? I we could see it as a bonding excersis lol xD

I'll let you know when I reinstalled everything, it's been running kinda slow lately, with fraps recording in the background, so it'll take some time before I can finish up the LP, but I'm pretty close anyway.

If people post here when we're ready and if we can get around 10 people i think it should be pretty interesting xD

What nations would we play though? And would we play as one big ass alliance that takes over the world, or just grab as much land as we can and beat the living hell out of eachother?

From what I've seen on the Paradox forums we definitely need to have a more organised plan set out beforehand and we all need to attend at a pre-planned date. I elect that we should start a new thread for the first game and base the first experimental sessions on that.

Oh, also, how are we going to cope with the time zones?
And indeed, war, and especially peace, is usually arranged very differently on the Paradox forums when you compare it to the usual in-game "beat the crap out of the AI and take what you want".

I don't think we're handling EU3 seriously right now as far as NVKD operations is concerned. Until it's considered an operational branch I think we should limit discussion to that of timezones and sorting out the imminent checksum problems that we'll run into. Certainly games pan out uniquely, and I think laying out a set of "default rules" is in order.

how i see it... we all try to come together once every week or so and play a game on someones server...i believe the host can save a game and we'd all have to try and get a time that would work... (At least thats the best plan i have xD)

Also i think the idea of countries should be posted to avoid competition or arguments etc and alliances would have to be decided in game... i mean i think its more fun to not know if say for example Toast is going to join me in my war against hungary or if he's going to laugh at me as i attack... as riga... you know stuff like that... Also the advantage to playing like that is just having a bit more of a laugh and unexpectedness... PLUS it means that the infamy is actually useful rather than being ignored if we all play as a rediculous alliance... but at the time it'd obviuosly be a majority vote ^_^

Edit: I suppose if we did play as an alliance we could always see if we could take over 100% of the world... and make a real NVKD world xD But i suppose that would get old pretty soon if i play as hungary and say Toast plays as lithuania (sorry i keep using you as a example toast you just remind me of toasty from old world blues xD)

Exactly the same mate... i just thought it would be a funny team building thing xD Or just a laugh... i mean you cant exactly make a NVKD branch for it... but it'd be good to just meet the people on the forums in a slightly less forum-based format xD
