    OOOHH NOOOOOOOSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!

Gas prices are rising and experts predict that we will reach a new record in terms of gas prices. For every cent that gas prices rise that is $1 billion taking out of the US economy. Gas was averagely $1.61 per gallon when President Bush left office, but now under President Obama it is averagely $3.10 per gallon and rising. If Obama really wants to keep gas prices low he would have increased the national oil supply, but in fact Obama himself foresaw that his policies would increase electricity prices. So as gas prices rise Obama and the liberal Democrats blame Bush, but the truth shows otherwise. Recently the Obama administration stopped 77 leases to drill for oil in in Utah and ev the most moderate experts claim that it hold over 800 billion barrles in Utah and the states around it which is three time more than Saudi Arabia's oil reserves. In 2010 the BP Oil Spill hit the Gulf of Mexico which was an incident the US government can learn because it was not a US owned company oil rig and thus it was not as inspected by the goverment as an American oil rig. Obama took advantage of that by stopping two drilling bans in the Gulf of Mexico and the US government admits that production will be reduced by 13% because of this. They also announced drlling on the Gulf, Atlantic, and Pacific while not be developed and stopping new oil rigs from being set up in 7 years. That is 19 billion barrels of oil wasted. The Obama administration to open up the ANWR where 10 billion barrels of oil could be drilled with no or barely any damaged to wildlife whatsoever. All that oil would be the equivalent of 16 years from Saudi Arabia. He also banned the Keystone Oil Pipeline which would lead to a loss of 100,000 jobs and increasing energy costs. So in short as Obama does not bring up supply as demand increases, Obama is drilling us to disaster. If anyone wishes to pull the electric cars card the sixth link is just for you.

I'm pretty sure that most oil drilled in America is then exported outside of the country. So any attempt by Obama to stop drilling in America might be to stop exporting our oil. I hardly think anybody would just do that to be a douche.

Impossible! He's never not been president!

Seriously though. Obama isn't to blame for this. Nor is Bush or Clinton ect.

What are you Americans whining about our gas is far more expensive. You also can't blame the president for this either it is not something he can control. As long as you buy from us were good if not we'll destroy you like if the EU passes that one proposal we will destroy them.

The Keystone Pipeline decision was put on hold, not banned. So the first one goes bust.

The other one is true though. According to NPR, anyways.
But I am not sure how easy it will be to extract. According to the article I provided, the oil is in oil shale, a type of extraction process which was abandoned when oil prices dropped a while back.
Like any other kind of extraction, its got environmental concerns, but seems to have more than other extraction metods.

But I am with Demondaze on this one.
Blaming Obama for rising oil prices as the result of two wars that he never started is absurd.
I am with Obama on this one. It is simply not his fault.
And hasty fixes make for quick unravelings.

If he would America would not actually own the oil. It would be the property of BP, Shell, ect and would be sold on the world markets just like anything else. Unless it is Obama's intent to also nationalize an oil company you wouldn't see a major decline in the price of oil.
