Here's what I got. And even though the test says it would take 40 minutes I finished in about 10. http://www.iqtest.dk/main.swf
This isn't a very good IQ test, it's just abstract reasoning. Working out patterns. I've taken a sanctioned IQ test before (I was 6 years old and got 88), and even that was not very convincing to me of an accurate test of "the abilities, but not limited to, abstract thought, understanding, self-awareness, communication, reasoning, learning, having emotional knowledge, retaining, planning, and problem solving". That said, getting that score is commendable, I'd like to see how you'd go on a proper test.
If I might say something, never ever trust an online IQ test. An actual IQ test should be administered by psychologist because it has components in which you must have a dialogue with a trained psychologist. I have had the opportunity to help some of my psychology professors grade IQ tests and I have get to say - I have yet to see any online test that even comes close to comparing to physical one.
We just had a Harvard professor of neuro-psychology come speak to my capital punishment class and she had some less then favorable remarks about the IQ test. However, your point still stands. I think I got a 166 once on an online IQ test, I'm smart, but I'm no Hawking.
There are plenty of legitimate criticisms to be levied at IQ tests. But there are plenty more to be levied at online IQ tests. Edit: Also Skype says it's your birthday soooo happy Birthday?
Indeed it is... thanks... But yes online IQ tests can't factor in 1/100th of what an actual IQ test takes, but IQ tests aren't a great metric for judging intelligence. She spoke in regards to competency and whether or not a defendant is fit so stand trial. An example she used was she once asked a client what was a building. Her client answered Empire State. While the client wasn't really incorrect because he was making a logical connection between the word and the concept, by the standard of the test she was unable to award him any points. It's not really my field but neuro-psychology seems really interesting and at the forefront of the merging between medicine and psychology. Dr. Elizabeth Leonard was who spoke to us, I don't know if she's that big of a deal but she's one of the top clinical neuro-psychologists in our area and did teach at the phd program at Harvard before moving out here
That means you're one in 500,000. Screw the 1%, you are in the top 0.0002% Seems legit. As for the IQ test, as I've said I've taken a properly sanctioned one, and my thought are that it is okay as a general indicator, but for individual rankings not so good.
Again I dont think that a high or low self esteen helps but for those who care I went in thinking I would get something low. Of course after about #18 I panicked and I am only 13. 97 is OK right?
I never really trust online IQ test, because really how does figuring out patterns tell you your IQ. Also I got a 108.
Well look at the deviation that they give you. 15 is way out there but it was the best I could find on the internet.
