Though the Knights Templar where the most famous crusader orders there where many others that outlasted them. So show your knowledge of other orders and historical battles they took place in.

For example the Knights of Saint John on the island of Malta lasted until Ottoman invasion some time in the 1700's.

The Teutonic Order was a famous Holy order in Europe and fought in many battles, one such being the battle of Grunwald where they where delt a crushing defeat at the hands of the Polish.
Please share your information on any crusader order and your views on there decisions.

here is a good source of Holy Orders http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_order
Also im pretty sure the orthodox christians didn't have military holy orders. Besides the Byzantines had Kataphracts :D and Polish Cavalry was already powerful, while Russia had its own problems.

The Teutonic order was defeated by Polish militia and heavy cavalry led by "Wladyslaw the elbow high" (called that for his lack of hight) The Teutonic order also fought a Holy order called the Livonian Brothers of the Sword which was relativley new and was not as influential as the Teutonic Order.
Yet such wars against fellow crusaders seemed very counter productive.

I don't know if the Orthdox faith as their own kind of Knight, but in 1242 the Republic of Novgorod (orthodox faith) defeated the Teutonic Kinghts (Catholic faith) at Lake Peipus.

Knights of Montesa, Knights of Santiago... there's a ton of holy orders, but none were as much successfull as the Templars, Hospitallers and the Teutonic Knights.

The Teutonic Order set the precedent for modern-day Naziism. An organisation claiming to be enforcing Roman Catholocism in the Baltic, when in reality they were never averse to burning helpless villages of other Catholic nations while the Holy Roman Emperor looked on approvingly.
Nothing more than a bunch of Germanic supremacists, and the Poles did the world a service when they annihilated them at Grunwald.
Sadly the Order still exists today, and true to their ancestors' ideals, they haven't changed a bit. It is still impossible to attain certain ranks if you are not of German descent.

Kind of ironic how the Poles asked for their help first against the Lithuanians.

Yes it was. But they weren't to know the Order would eventually turn against them.

I don't think Germans ever liked the Poles, neither the Russians.

That's because Poland kicked their arses in several wars. The only way they could pacify the Poles was to come together in alliance, first in the 1790s, then in the 1940s.
