Ler's campaign thread

Hello, friends.
So, it’s election time again, and once more, I will be running. So, why should you vote for me?
During the last term, I served as the only active Tribune. Indeed, Tribune Raygun made only, if my memory is correct, four posts during his entire term.

So yes, it is entirely fair to say that representation was not at an ideal level. This is, I believe due to no fault of my own. I would like to remind you all of my campaign for Tribune transparency, and my self-rule of making anything public which was allowed. If re-elected, I will continue this, and work more actively in sharing with you the workings of the forum.

To be honest with you folks, there isn’t much to promise this time around. The fact is, and while I disagree with some of the choices of a some of the mods, there is no corruption in the corner. In terms of legislation, my plan can be summarized in two points – To work towards greater tribune transparency, and – To greater represent the community, and work toward achieving your suggestions.

If re-elected, I will fairly represent your voice, and the voices of the community to the staff.

I disagree. I recall a certain point in time when you were de-tribuned.

And two points during your term where you either wanted to resign or take an extended break that would essentially mean the same thing.

Ler did talk about resigning but that was simply due to him having a panic attack that he calmed down from with the help of friends. It did not affect his actions as tribune and I would recommend that he just doesn't get on the forums during those times. We all have bad times.

On to the issue with Ler being removed, he complained to friends that he thought he was going to be banned. Yes it caused problems and he technically should not have due to the tribune code but it was an honest mistake.

All of that said, Ler has tried to fight for the people of the forum, especially those he felt were being targeted.

Unstable flake who was removed from power for violating the only rule tribunes have to follow: the perfect man for the job.

Despite me voting for Demondaze in the nomination thread, I still think that Ler is the best man we have for this job. Demondaze is my second choice.

Good luck man, peoples choice of who gets elected and looks like its proably going to be you.

Despite the issues that happened during Ler's previous term as tribune I stand by him and believe that he is still worthy of your votes. He has fought for the users of this forum.

Didnt you say you wanted to make a rule as to where you could not run for more than two terms? Regardless as of now you have my vote.

@ Sly - Two terms consecutively. So, you can serve a term, take a break, and then serve two more terms, but you couldn't serve three terms in a row. Thanks for you support.

Well, you were objectively worse of a tribune-man-dude-bro than I was.

That's a pretty big claim, considering you did absolutely nothing. I mean, that's not even an exaggeration. You made like, three or four posts, most of them were sarcastic responses to my posts. In fact, I think all of them were.

I did nothing, you did nothing but hound Kali and start drama for no reason which ended up with you being investigated for personal threats and insults. At this point you thought you were going to get banned and told all of your friends to spam the forums, which ended up with you getting your tribune privileges revoked for one week and them getting warned/banned.

You asked for it.

You know full well that's not what happened. You know full well that Ler merely said he might get banned and that people, on their own accord, protested it. You know full well that Ler was suspended because he was "leaking information", not for the domestic terrorism you pretend he committed.

You lie, Ronald. If you told the truth you would be praising Ler, not attacking him.

Ultimately, the truth is what matters. And the truth is that Ler is the best man for the job, the People's Candidate.
