Here is where you can post ideas for preferable endings to shows/movies, discuss movies that ended well, or just complain about the endings for others. I'll start off: Battlestar Galactica's ending was horrible.
The BSG ending seemed weak, like the producers just gave up. The idea that they just gave up all their technology is absurd. If I were them, I would probably end up going with the Cylons rather than back to the stone age. And it is pretty stupid to think that all the evidence would just vanish. Did they just live out the rest of their lives like barbarians, writing nothing, making nothing technological, all for the purpose of forgetting their past? I find that, no matter how the producers put it, highly unlikely. And how did they actually mix with the people of the world? And what of the Raptor that Adama had? Did it just vanish? And their clothes? What happened to them? I don't doubt that over the centuries they may have degraded, but record of... whatever they were called [space jumpsuits?] should have shown up somewhere. Perhaps I misjudge them [the producers] and they saw some great, pychological aspect behind all this, the idea that the people wanted a 'new beginning' as they put it, so badly that they were willing to abandon millenia of technological achievements to do it. Then again, as the ending shows, their decendents walked down the same path because they clearly left no reminders: MAKE NO **** A.I.! Parhaps settling on the planet would have been a more acceptable ending. Note: Talking about the latest one.
To wrap up the crazy myth arc that they had, this was about the only way to do it. Even then it made little sense, but I don't think they could have done much else given what they had written themselves into.
Do you guys know about the seriess V(visitors)? It was about aliens seeming like they're friendly but nopes,they want to take over earth and some of the last sane people in an insane world tried to stop them. It only had like 2 seasons but after the pliot episode that was unbelieveably awesome it's viewers rate were declining. And so in mid-2nd season they were out of budget and they said fuck it and they made the last episode. It was just unbelievably stupid. Basically the things the show was saying so far:"Yea we wont fall for the aliens and we will defend earth!"and in the last episode was showed HUMANITY LOSING AND THE ALIENS CONQUERING US!! Worst series ending EVER.
