One of the other forums I'm a part of in addition to the quote, and reply buttons has a multi-quote, which enables you to easily embed more then one quite into your reply. I'm not an admin or anything over there so I don't know what went into making that happen, but I've seen it around other forums and it could be a very useful tool for people.
When writing your message you can scroll down to the bottom of the post, there you can quote from as many posts as you need to. Also if you highlight any text, only said text will be quoted.
