So as we all know it was the first election turn out and had 62-70% of the population come out to vote, with many Egypt politicians saying that turns out haven't been that high since the days of the Pharaohs.

The Muslim brotherhood's own party the Freedom and Justice party has done very well so far getting over 50% of the turn out votes, while the much more hardline Islamist party Al Nour got 20% of the vote. which the nation of Israel prime minster and the defense minster has called the results "Very very disturbing"

Now the question is what does the results mean for Egypt and the rest of the North African/Middle eastern region, how will the relationship between Egypt and Israel play out, and is the military of the country willing to allow the Freedom and Justice party take over or could we see more suspensions. And does the recent winnings of Islamist parties in post-revolutionary Egypt and Tunisa single that Libya will have the same results?

I will keep everyone posted as more results are posted but from the look of things the Freedom of justice party is going win almost everywhere.

As long as they respect people's rights and don't become hostile to everyone around them I'm fine with it.

One of the original protesters said that "while he disagree with the elections results, he more then willing to give the brotherhood a chance at running the country and if they failed we will always show up here again"

I see some people equate 'muslim' with 'extremism.' The Muslim Brotherhood are a legitimate political party, and promoting Islamic values does not automatically make you a fanatic.

there are a few things to know about the muslim brotherhood.

They where the only organized opposition party (despite being forbidden) during the rule of the regime.
Wich attracted all kinds of people to the party. Yes there are the fanatic islamists but there are also people from many different political spectrums. So wich way the party will go is not clear yet.
But me personaly the people of egypt just replaced one dictator ship with a theocracy wich is no better, in the end it will result in the same bs the whole region is stuck in. This is just a feeling of mine, i hope i am wrong but i doubt it.

Well did you listen to what they said about the laws of Libya. They also may have scraped the Sharia idea in general as there is a new intermin PM.

Besides the point, my statement stands that there is nothing moderate about Islamic parties and their ideas.

Promoting Shari'a (شريعة) in any form is unacceptable. Islamism is by definition extremist and reactionary. It's better that we avoid throwing secularism under the bus, even if it makes us unpopular.

There's no reason why a moderately Muslim party cannot ensure progress in the country. The Muslim Brotherhood, outwardly at least, seems to be no more extreme than say, the ruling AKP party in Turkey.
