New colonies and a war on drugs

So, I wasn't sure where to put this and guessed Off topic is the place I should put it. If the mods want to move it, feel free.

I'd like to say that everything I'm gonna say here I strongly believe. I'm not trolling you guys or anything, but I have a VERY radical view on what would be better for the world in the long run.

First, I believe that the powerful western countries should recolonize the African and Asian countries that are in the middle of Civil War, genocide, and anarchy. These colonies should then be able to elect a ruling council. The ruling council will be overseen by a figure selected by the "Colony's" Western ruler. A massive education should be implemented. Infrastructure and healthcare should be improved. We should attempt to destroy the social and tribal divisions that cause the genocides in Africa. Each "colony" should write its own Constitution. After a period of time as the "colony" becomes stable there should be a smooth transistion to an independent nation. After a certain standard of living in the "colony" is reached, it should be reclassified to dominion. Now the Western figure overseeing the country will leave and full democratic elections held. However, western forces will be on standby to enforce order if strife begins. After a year with their own government in charge and no downward change in the standard of living then the Dominion can become and independent country. Advisors from other first world countries will be available. The goal of this is to create a largely first world and prosperous Africa.

Second, almost completely unrelated is my idea for a new war on drugs. Heres how I see it. Drugs should be made a national security threat. First offense for drug use means up to two years rehab. (If you have made progress before the two years is up, you will be released). Second offense should be mandatory full year of rehab with no early release plus a 5 thousand dollar fine. If caught on third offense you will be deemed a waste to society and put into a forced labor camp. 5 years work makes you free. If you do not make progress in rehab during first offense two year period, you will likewise be deemed a waste to society and sent to labor camp. There shall be mandatory drug tests at work and school every two weeks. The penalty for smuggling or dealing drugs will be immediately sent to labor camp if proof is shown. A second offense of smuggling or dealing will be punishable by death or deportation to a prison colony.

Thats all great and dandy about the colonies but do you honestly expect the colonial overseers to just relinquish power?

In this modern day and age yes. The rulers of our countries wont be overseeing. It will be an elected official. And to insure this does not happen when the term of overseeing ends, the overseer will be replaced and sent back to his home country.

No, this is all very temporary. An Empire is meant to last for as long as possible. This is met to be a way to advance the African countries.

Also so your other idea is pretty much "short term" imperialism? I can't see that working and I don't think it should be done.

When countries start invading others to fix their problems for them it isn't very good, often the countries have ulterior motives and the influence is rarely wanted. The exception is in the case of genocide of course but then they should get out when that is dealt with. Let countries solve their own issues, though some assistance is fine. I don't view any country as nearly innocent, if the western powers were to suddenly invade places to fix them, it probably wouldn't be for purely good reasons but to benefit from them.

On to your views on drugs I'm going to say right now, I think it's sick. Send them to labor camps? Kill them for drugs? It's a disgusting way to treat human beings, criminals or not. Marijuana should be legalized, I believe this because it is far less harmful than other legal substances (cigs and alcohol, cigs containing drugs pretty much). Harmful drugs should remain illegal but you shouldn't execute people for them or make them essentially slaves. Why bring us back to a much worse time for human rights?

How are you going to get the resources?

Also why do you believe we should kill people for distributing or taking drugs? To save people? We should kill people to save people? Makes perfect sense.

I would bring us back because when you see 13 year olds injecting heroin in a public park, and weed being sold in full view of security guards at my high school, it tends to give you a pretty radical view.

I believe I mentioned I'm doing this because I strongly believe what I say. I'm not doing it for some false sense of being "cool".

Once given two chances at rehab, the citizen is classified a drain on societies resources and disposed of in the way deemed necessary. Whether that is deportation or death, I don't care.
