On Thursday the Ontario Liberals won their 3rd term with a minority losing out on a majority by one seat. While not living in Ontario, Ontario is sadly the center of Canada so what happens there effects the entire country. I am personally happy with this result because the Progressive Conservative leader Tim Hudak was a total clown. During the debates he did the ultimate political sleeze ball move which was to bring up your daughter with an unspecified mental illness in order to gain political brownie points. But with a minority parliament this means that the liberals must appease 1 opposition party in order to pass their legislation, therefore I predict that the NDP will hold the balance of power as they are closer politically to the liberals than the PCs. Anyway I want to know what those living in Ontario think.

I oppose some things the Liberals do but overall I don't really have a problem and I see in the future the NDP agreeing with most of the Liberal bills. It's also a really good thing the that the PCs are not in power that would be dreadful.

A true unbiased, and fair media source, if I ever saw one..
Seriously though, I wouldn't expect that kind of thing in Canada. That's Fox level fear-mongering.
Oh, and grats on them winning. Hopefully this will drive the Conservatives back a little.
(Oh, and how can a Conservative be Progressive? That's like an.. Uh.. Oxymoron?)

Well for one it's the Sun. The second thing is with minorities there is always a lot of just back and forth arguing so it could be talking about that.

I'm relatively pleased with the election. I decided I just can't fully agree with any party in particular. Maguinty in ontario introduced a bunch of total bullshit programs that pretty much never do anything and cost a lot of money, but the liberals are more socially progressive the the "progressive" conservatives.

It's interesting though because liberals only got seats in big cities, everywhere else in ontario was a conservative seat. The GTA won the election.

Well, I'm glad they didn't washout like in the federal elections.
Even though I don't really like the Liberals, variety is the spice of life.
Maybe this'll help them not be a laughingstock?

Well again it could just be referring to the fact it's a minority. I say this as they didn't complain when the Liberals won a majority.

i am disappointed that Dalton did not get a Majority because the NDP are a joke and last time they were elected provincially, they fucked everything up. Then the torries fucked even more shit up. McGuinty and the Liberals actually have a great handle on economic affairs and social spending as well as providing great education and health care.

Well the NDP fucked up because of Bob Rae but he is now gone so we don't have to worry about that now.

I am unimpressed with any minority government whether it's provincial or parliamentary, there is not enough being done.

As for the Liberals being a part of it, I am not happy, but not concerned.
