I do not think they should release the photos for all they will do is incite the muslim world even more, while prbobaliy not quelling most of the conspiracy theories already floating around.

Depends, they really need to think this over before doing anything.
If releasing death photos gets those folks that riled up, DO NOT RELEASE THEM, and just bare the brunt of people's paranoia.
However, the sheets of the DNA results should be released, those probably won't offend anyone.

I've got the pictures in my desk. I'll trade them for a holographic Charizard, Blastioise and Venusaur pokemon cards.

Off-topic: My friend, when the card game first came out, had EVERY SINGLE CARD in 1st and non-1st edition collected. Then, someone stole them from him at school. That collection would be worth so much fucking money right now.

Would say yes, but that because I am someone who think all data that is not current operation should be available and not just after 50 years. (But I am who is not really adapted to politic and diplomacy since I don't see the point of lying and denial).

But still do understand the reason to not release them, just think the source of that reason is stupid, cause I don't get why people would get more angry about the photo of a dead person then the death itself. But humanity is stupid, including myself.

Nothing off topic about it. You want the pictures of Binny here and I'll take the Poke Cards.

The primary reason why they may not be releases is simply because the ones that clearly identify him are too brutal for most major news sources to publish. He was shot in the head twice. I don't think they'll just say, "Hey America, here's pictures of Osama's splattered head for all to enjoy."

They're probably planning on a subtle method or release. Maybe. They'll probably just not release them. I don't care.

I would like them to release some type of proof, but if it is very graphic it might make a lot of people mad and uncomfortable and it wouldn't stop all the conspiracy theories anyway.

I would like them to release the DNA evidence, and footage of the burial at sea that they say they have, as final proof. Otherwise people will be skeptical.

There isn't anything that will silence the skeptics. There will be people claiming any photo released is fake. In that sense, they don't really stand to gain anything by releasing them. Would I personally like to see the pictures? Sure, but I don't think the president should way in a bunch of personal vendetta's / borderline blood lusts, against national security concerns

If he was shot into gravy, then there's not much to see. But I would like to see it anyway.

No, if the photos are the released it will generate even more hate against muslims. And let dead men rest, they do deserve it - even him.

Then why do you react to it ? This is basically just a more crude form of Socratic way, that wisdom come from recognizing your own ignorance.

It's been requested through the freedom of information so at the very least Wikileaks again.
