I was in a catholic school for 6 years people so I'm catholic too.

The truth is everyone that the internet isnt a place for you to discuss your religious belifs. You have seen those comments on youtube when its 18 pages of religious people making useless comments on a totally un realted video on youtube. Religious people need to understand belifs are just that... BELIFS! There is no solid evidence to any religion including atheism.

Anyhow I know there isnt very many religious arguements on the site. I belive people should say what they're religion is but not one time has anyone walked away from a religious arguement thinking it was a " enriching expirence " or thinking the other person became more of a thread. Even if we cant get rid of them can we move them to a new thread area for religon only so it wont ruin the other 13-14 topics. I am just saying whats the point of having them if nothing good ever happens.

I mean one time I told this guy I had as a friend on facebook to stop sending me messages to convert to his religon and that I dont give a fuck if I go to hell for it.

He responded to call me names like dickhead, assface, faggot lover, etc etc etc. Like I said if we cant make it against the rules because of the 1st amendments atleast make a thread for just religion.

Edit: Now that I think about it can a mod edit in a poll for

    1. leave it alone
    2. Ban all religious threads
    3. New topic/area for it in next update

I support this to some degree.

If the thread is directly about hatred towards other beliefs or any reasoning behind it, and it is purely religious based, then it should not be on here. However, if religion happens to be in the place of politics and news stories, (i.e, war in Afghanistan/Iraq) and involves Muhjadeen or today's insurgencies and their religious values, how they implement them into their country and how it may or may not be bad.

Edit: And please, do not revolve this thread around religious persecution.

This IS NOT a religious or christian hate thread I'm just saying noting positive ever comes out of these debates and more than half the time you stumble upon them by acident and that wouldn't happen if we had a thread where all of them could go.

    Yeah, um, no.
That is contradictory to the whole purpose of the debate section of the forums. People debate because it is controversial. While the 'we don't want religious fundementalist spambots' idea has merit:
    1. We don't really seem to have a problem with that here. At least, from what I have seen.
    2. The mods are pretty good at banning such people. Within a post or two, a mod is usually on them.
Banning them is just inviting trouble.

By my logic only 2 people have been banned. 1 for lifetime 1 for 8 days.

And the more I think about it I wish I had put in a poll... CALLING MODERATORS!!!

As I understand it [for I don't bring it up in idle conversation, nor can I find a list of people who have been banned nor did I even look for one] Kara as well experienced a brief ban sometime in the early stages of my integration into the forums or sometime before.

And of course there is the INCIDENT.

    Good to know.

    Anyways, back on topic.
It should'nt be 'banned' from this site, but I do not wish to discuss it, if I find a page which does discuss religion in a certain matter, I will leave that thread alone, you should do the same if you want to.

She contacted us outside of the forums and we spoke and apologized for our mistake. Short story is, yes shes in perfectly good standing, and yes, we jumped the gun on thinking it was a multi account.

I gotta agree. By the way, I was in Catholic school for 8 years, just to put things in perspective. Religious topics shouldn't be banned, people just need to show self restraint. If you know talking about religion upsets you, don't talk about it. Simple as that. By the way, why was Kira banned? She was like a brief phenomenon which I ignored, so I'm pretty ignorant to the situation.
