I'm going to completely going ignore the article and go with "If you don't want to be a Socialist fascist Nazi then become an Austrian Economist."

I love how it tries to throw FDR in with people like Hitler and Stalin.

If the article truly contains the phrase "fascism is socialism in disguise" then the author has no clue what he's talking about

Those damn socialists! I knew it! Trying to pollute our precious bodily fluids by installing themselves under another name on the pretext of people disliking socialism!

You seem to be obsessed with hating socialism, to the point where you completely ignore us when we tell you that isn't what we believe. What's with, bro?

It's not that we hate socialism, it's just that some socialists (refer to article), have not idea what their talking about.

You do realise most of my out-and-out socialism hating is taken from Dr. Strangelove? Ie; a film in which the people obsessed with the 'red threat' are a bunch of maniacs. That and I don't hate socialism at all. But maybe I am obsessed with hating it. That would also be why I ignore any attempt at proper debate (oh, damn this is the coffeehouse section); because i'm too busy sarcastically railing against the red threat.
At the risk of creating a massive wall of text, my opinion on this article (that I haven't read) is that just because the Nazis, Keynes and the New Deal subsribed to certain similar principles, doesn't mean other aspects of their ideologies have anything to do with it. I mean, the nazis wouldn't have got anywhere if they didn't have something half-decent between them, and their recognition of Keynesian economics earlier than most is one of them. Doesn't make Keynes a Nazi, even if the Americans caused his death shortly after WWII (well, it's claimed that negotiating British loans with them literally burned him out).

They might work with other people, reguardless of political orientation, to further their own goals but that doesn't mean they "get along" with each other.

Oh lulz. Nazism and Fascism wanted intergration of the corporate entity and the state, State socialism wants workers ownership of the means of production via a workers state. Not to mention traditional socialism and ALL COMMUNISM wants little to no government.

If Nazism = Socialism, Where was workers ownership of the means of production in Germany?

If Stalinism = Socialism, Where was workers ownership of the means of production in Russia post 1922?

This article is obviously untrue, and I don't see any comparison to fascism and socialism whatsoever, even after reading the article. I'm sorry, I tried reading this objectively, but I couldn't help feeling this was utter bullshit.
