After Creative Assembly is done with Shogun 2 where do you guys want the next total war game to be set. Post as many ideas you'd like For me its these two Rome 2: Total War - A return to the Roman Empire with a Julius Caesar Campaign like the Napoleon campaign in NTW. Also more historically acurate and Rome as one faction. Victoria: Total War - Set in the Late Victorian Era (1850 - 1900) could cover events like the Crimean War, The American Civil War, and the Franco-Prussian War. Maybe with a World War 1 expansion Pack
Its really not that much of a contest, its gonna be victoria: Total War, or Rome 2 Total War. Or should I say Total War Rome 2? Anyways, its one or the other, and I would place my bets on Rome 2.
I dislike the idea of a 19th century - 20th century total war, it would take the spectical out of the battle, mine aswell call it Turtle total war, Or bloodbath total war, No doubt the population will Riot if Rome 2 is not released after this.
I think it's going to be Rome 2. But I also wanna see a Mongol Conquests, or some kind of Chinese one. I also see potential in the American Civil War, but not a "victoria total war," that's just a retarded idea. Also, why does nobody care about the amazingness that is Hyrule: Total War?!?!? http://josefvstalin.com/threads/hyrule-total-war.7951/
THREE KINGDOMS TOTAL WAR I kind of want to see hero units again I was upset when there were none in Shogun, just in name but they could have used historical heroes.
I would like a Rome 2, but i will admit Victoria: Total War does sound cool. However a Mongol game sounds awesome, as long as they make armies walk farther than they can now, so you can cover all the land the mongols ounce owned.
I'd love to see a new Rome: Total War. With naval combat! Hell yes, ramming speed ahead! But what am I saying, I won't be able to run it. Edit: Also, you should've added a poll.
it seems to me that fall of the samurai may have been a test for a total war set in the 1800s to see if it worked with the engine and if it was fun to play. almost like a beta while not being touted as such.
They will probably make Rome 2 next. However, I imagine that they will eventually go back to guns, it's not like they didn't make money off of empire and napoleon. If they make another gun type game there fan base would be so pissed.
Empire 2: Total War is what I want, I never played the original but I think that game has the largest potential of them all from a gamepaly point of view, the thought of building an empire and vying for control of sea trade with your navies. Or a Medieval 3: Total War with a much larger map that incorporates more of Asia and a heavier focus on diplomacy/trade than they had in Medieval 2.
Probably War Rome 2: Total, and after that, I'm hoping for 2 Total: Empire War, which hopefully has more provinces than Empire itself.
The provinces in empire are way to big. I still can't believe they made France and Spain one province.
I don't think they're going to do an Empire 2 just yet. If anything, they'll be predictable and make another Rome, and then another Empire.
Yeah, that was awful. India and the Americas were filled with provinces whereas Europe was almost empty...
