The Royal wedding between Prince William and Katherine Middleton is next week and in the UK we are getting rammed down our throats with all the advertising and hype. I am wondering what sort of press it is getting elsewhere in the world?

Happy he's getting married, not so happy with the hype. Wonder what would happen during Harry's wedding? :?

Does this mean Australia can secede? I have zero care for some obscure marriage between two people who happened to be part of some ageing hereditary dictatorship who for some reason still have links to our country, oh well.

I've decided not to watch TV for a while what with the BBC fapping out its Royal fantasies. Maybe when QE2 dies, so will the Royal Family, judging from the people's admiration and respect for Charles and Camilla.

I guess the wedding will take our minds off the real world for a bit. Make us "proud to be British" and respectful of an archaic system whose only use is to:

provide tourists with a reason to bother visiting the island
help us hold onto a past/glory and history that is no more
keep those who dislike change (elderly people) satisfied

It's not like they have any real political power.

Hopefully the wedding gets disrupted by all the people who have been taking to the streets in London like the rumors have said.

    Should have flipped the car.

Who cares? I mean, it's not like there's more important things we could be dedicating our time to, like the whole Civil War in Libya, or the protests in Syria and Yemen? Maybe the events in West Africa.

Right cause it's their fault there's been a recession and obviously they and not the government are responsible for the cutbacks.

Regardless, all monarchy's deserve the same fate as the French and Russian.

Not all Monarchies are tourist attractions.

I am tired of the media's coverage local and national. It doesn't make sense, why should we care.

I say vive la republique. I care not a jot about Wills and Kate or their bloody wedding.

Time we got shot of this outdated form of government; when a total dimwit like Prince Harry is promoted to captain in the army after five years of doing fuck all you know something is seriously wrong with your country.

He is a total plank, it's terrifying to think he could one day be our head of state were William to die prematurely.

I don't particularly care about the wedding, but I certainly wouldn't want to get rid of them and end up a republic.

Who cares it's a wedding. This also suppose to be a budget wedding but let's see how much money it costs.

A budget wedding for the Royal Family means under ~10 million dollars.
