I sent this letter to Stalin:

Obviously Moderator corruption has been evident, and further fueled by the fact that Chelsea locked a thread questioning it, and most likely she is going to lock this thread too. Hopefully Stalin will consider the idea of a group to keep the mods in check.

This is not an idea for a democratic ruling of this forum, but at the very least something to keep the mods in check.

This idea is complete bullshit. ONE moderator, on his own, makes an insignificant decision that's easily rectified and people are calling corruption. Overreacting much?

This thread will remain open unless it gets out of hand like the thread that I locked. I agree Big J.

The only reason that could possibly justify the locking of the last thread was that it went against the threads original purpose. There is no justification to close this one.

It shows that there is nothing stopping the mods from corruption and the disregard of regulation unless Stalin is on 24/7. Also Chelsea locking a thread questioning it says something too....

There needs to be a counterbalance to the mods. We should be able to do something to protest them fucking with groups, dealing out punishments, and locking threads.

Don't expect what the users want to matter anytime soon, but at the very least we should have the ability to deal with corruption.

I do think noel should be stripped of mod powers temporarily. It WAS an abuse, albeit minor, of mod power.
 I love that you're using the word "corruption" on this matter.

I don't think of it as being minor. If ler had stayed in that group it would have been easier dismiss everything he says as "crazy". (No offense to che and soviet.)

Noel's actions were brought up AND PMed to Stalin. That issue will be dealt with. We do not abuse our powers, when things are done that shouldn't be done they are dealt with.

He was in it not even for a day.

Can I request that this thread be locked based on the fact that a committee of 30 to "regulate" the mods is so goddamn stupidly ridiculous? The mods are already regulated by Spencer. If you have a problem with a mod, send Spencer a PM or bring it up to the other mods. This notion that the mods are "corrupt" is simple lunacy. It's a fucking forum founded around a Canadian LPer for gods sake. Don't take this place so seriously as to start spouting off political rhetoric in relation to forum policy.

I agree with you completely Big J but I will not lock the thread because of that. I am waiting for Stalin to say something on the issue because it is his word on this issue that they will listen to. If they aren't happy with HIS word on the matter then they may as well leave.

A community has grown here. The content here belongs to no one but the users, and the have the right to regulate themselves.

This further begs the question of why Che stays on this forum. He HATES EVERYTHING about it. He hates how it's ran, he hates 98% of everyone here, and it's quite apparent that he gets frustrated every time politics are discussed here, which is 75% of the discussions.
I'd trust the community to regulate itself about as much as I'd trust Che to be a fair mod.

I am sure Stalin would be all for some counter measure against corruption... Regardless if he thinks it is bad or not, any forum owner would be ridiculous to not employ any measure against corruption other than just himself, due to him not always being around and the fact that the mods have been known to keep him uninformed of things in the past.

I will listen to, and obey what Stalin has to say, definitely. He made this community, and he pays for it. That does not mean that I shall not oppose the system of moderation, whether actively, or in a passive manner.

The point is for us to be able to run and keep the forum in order when he can't. We go by the rules that he set. We bring almost everything up in a forum he can easily see. We act on things according to the rules.

What is this "corruption" you keep referring too? Because I can't stop laughing when you accuse the mods of being "corrupt".
