Shores of Hazeron

I've been on the fence about sharing this game on the forums for a while. Back when I played it, the game was quite frankly Awesome. But it was at the same time, a fairly obvious alpha-build. Lag was a serious problem, and the graphics were very 90's/early 2000's. From what I've heard, there have been some big updates since then, so hopefully it is now in a far more playable state.

In Hazeron, you start off on an uninhabited planet, as a creature you have designed in a complex species creator. You have to travel the planet, looking for resources, and eventually, you can found your own town. Once you create a town hall, other players can join your fledgling empire, gain ranks in your government, and help you manage the cities on your planet. Eventually though, you will be able to completely design your first space ships, which you can use to colonize other planets, make contact with other player empires, and explore a huge galaxy, consisting of 10 million (?) Solar-systems (Each planet is also between 10KM - 400 KM, I believe.), each habitable planet full of randomly generated species, and plants. (I believe there are something like 10 billion different species of animal/creature in the game)

This sound EPIC. What we should do is find a power to fund a colonization of a planet. Then break off from that power later on. We'll be like the 13 Colonies. I call being George Washington.

I was thinking about making our own empire from Scratch. That way, we can design our own species. I was thinking like, a four-armed reptilian that spits irradiated acid. (I want to wait on some more people though. Maybe 2/3)

So, Kara is going to be the one to create our Empire. Right now, he is creating our species.
We were at the point of discussing where our 'Natural weapon' should be

Being the level-headed and mature individuals that we are, we decided that our Species shall shoot acid from it's buttock.

Karakoran is creating our Empire now. We just have to wait for him to get a Town-hall up, and we can join.

Can we create individual cities that we can rule rule?

Or do we all have to live in 1 city?

We can create individual cities, colonize planets and solar systems. There are even government ranks, starting at the leader of a city, all the way up to the top leader of our empire.. Whatever we named that position.

I really want to start playing When do you think the empire will be up?

Then could I like, say, flip you the bird and revolt if I felt like it.

Yes you can, I think you might even be able to take over the empire, But there are a few other revolutionaries and Loyalist you must get through First :twisted:

So, Kara has founded the town, and has built the first NPC homes. Unfortunately, all of our citizens just starved to death.. Which is quite unfortunate. That's pretty much all there is now. Oh, apart from him being chased by a horde of rampaging green penis-monsters. Classy

So I finally started to play this game and after I created my character i started the game and after all the stars go wizzing by It crashes. So I don't think i will be able to play as i do not know the problem :cry:

I have that happen sometimes too. You have to do litterally nothing while that is happening or you will crash.

Like what do you mean?

Don't have anything else open?

Or literaly don't move the mouse?


Edit: I tried not moving and closing everything but its still crashing on that galaxy screen before i even see what my planet is.

Edit:Edit: Well i found out the problem, Its my graphics card. Integrated graphics card do not work with this game so unfortunately I am out of this game.

Good news everyone! I'll tell you the story of how the town got going.

I was really frustrated. Nothing could grow and so all the new villagers were starving to death. So I just went to bed.

However, some time during the night, it rained the 20 needed times to start farming. Thus, when it hit the 20 mark, the villager who normally would die, harvested the crops. Thus, he lived. This cycle was then repeated until, eventually, our village filled up.

We have a 25% unemployment rate though, but ou moral is a constant 20.

So, we got a bit of news.

Some time ago, a strange Space-ship appeared over our city. An alien popped out, and proceeded to greet Kara, and hand us gifts, such as a motorbike, and construction materials. Kara and I were debating what we should do. This Alien wouldn't just be handing us this stuff, if it didn't want something in return..

So, I did some looking up. And it turns out this Alien is the emperor of 'The Imperium', one of the Super-Empires in the Galaxy. Best guess is he wants us as a vassal. Not entirely sure what to do here.. But it's clear that the one thing we definitely shouldn't do, is piss him off.
