Much cooler, in every way: http://www.virgingalactic.com/ Space tourism is all very interesting, but realistically, the only people that will be able to afford it for a long time will be multi millionaires, in other words only a very small fraction of a percentage of the population.
Fuck disneyland, The moons the next theme park!! Reminds me of early colonialism, companies paying for business ventures in the americas looks like space is the next place the brits will ship there prisoners.
Pitiful... The USA is reduced to paying private corporations and other nations for rides into space, we had a great space organization making use of all kinds of technology some not even our own, but still, I want NASA back.
I completely agree. With NASA not doing anything, we are effectively out of space exploration. And we won't be able to do anything new with the ISS either, Japanese and Russian astronauts/cosmonauts will probably take over the main control of it.
Well this isn't tourism, but it kind of fits into this. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/upshot/mars-one-one-way-ticket-red-planet-192011042.html
Wow, that sure is interesting. Mind if I make a thread about it in politcal coffeehouse? More people would see it since apparently most don't visit the science section, and it would make quite a good topic methinks.
