Basically, it is a tongue-in-cheek light roleplay multiplayer space station simulator. You are put into a space station, in a huge region of space, and are given a job. You can be all sorts of things, like a chef, a doctor, a roboticist , chemist, security, engineer, Chaplin, and much more. The aim of the game is to keep the space station running as long as possibly, whilst surviving some kind of chaos (Revolutionaries, terrorists, alien-invaders, epidemics, etc). The game uses isometric graphics, and while it may not be the most aesthetically pleasing of games, it stands on a dwarf-fortress level of complexity. (If not, beyond that.) It may also be worth adding that it isn't an MMO, and game-rounds generally last about 30 minutes - 2 hours. So, it isn't something you will have to dedicate a heap of time to. As you should know by now, I'm not the best person at describing stuff. But basically, I want organize a group of us to play together. If you are interested, give a yell in this thread. my god space station 13, i would love to join your group. I have been playing off and on and i only go Assistant, But its always fun to do a 45 mins game XD so much stuff can happen! I always use the name Kane Maddox, mostly because it just reminds me of these characters from the C&C series
I used to play the heck out of this game! There's no way I can describe it, it's completely silly and still manages to be serious at the same time. If we are going to choose a server, I want the "donut" style map. I'm not familiar with the other map.
I'm still a beginner myself. But yeah, every game is unlike the last. For those not familiar with SS13, is an example of gameplay It'll be good to have you both.

hmm, seems like the byond pager system is sorta different?Also btw meta-gaming is not allowed alot in SS13 mostly because people will wonder why you know all this info and you gotta stay in character (sorta).Here are some of the modes that some people play, theres zombies, Meteor Shower(survive as long as you can), VAMPIRES, changling(sorta like 'THE THING') and some other crazy ones

I can't play on Gibbed #3 I'm banned for tazing people & throwing them in the AI upload with the lazers set to "kill"
Can anyone explain how it works when the AI goes batshit crazy and starts killing people? It happened in my game and I'm so confused.
I'd say somebody tampered with the AI upload. Generally when the happens, a head will call the escape shuttle. If not, just try to survive. And yeah.. Don't go killing people unless you are a traitor, or an admin tells you to.
Just a friendly reminder: remember to hide the Nuke disk or the round will be over in less than 15 minutes.
