So do I, but I don't know if I agree to the point of what the French are doing, which is taxing their super rich 75%. They might as well be holding their rich prisoner.

In socialist Sweden rich people get taxed just about right.

Isn't it a social democratic, not socialist? If the workers truly own production then I'm going to look in to moving there!

Socialist sounds so much better than saying social democratic. Also what you are describing is extreme socialism where the workers own everything (communism).
The three big ideologies in a democratic state is liberal, conservative and socialist. Placing social democrats under socialist is not that wrong even if you could argue they are more of extreme liberals.

I don't think anyone would be happy to see three quarters of their often hard earned money go to the state. I don't want to sound like a right winger here, but I think that's just punishing success...
Neither Sweden, nor any other Scandinavian country is socialist by the definition. The economy is still market-based and capitalist in nature.

I don't think so. From the most accurate source imaginable, Wikipedia:
Sweden from my knowledge is textbook social democracy. High taxes on the richest, social welfare, mixed economy etc.

China isn't socialist in nature they have a market and capitalist based economy.
It's also about social reforms (and other things).

They still have large amount of the industry/means of production controlled by the state, who in theory should represent the workers. They are therefore still socialists. Sweden doesn't have this...

Not really, Socialism is an economic system, and the economic system in Sweden is still very much capitalist. See above.

So you would call it more extreme liberal than socialist? I guess I could agree to that. The real question is, what to call the conservative party in Sweden because they sure as hell isn't conservative in a global point of view.

No I would call it social-democracy... Most of Denmark's parties(and thus I also assume it is in Sweden) would be considered as social-democrats or social-liberals, though there are of course also socialists, conservatives and liberals.

As I always said , taxing more the richer section of the population is not going to do nothing. It will only lower prosperity and get more poverty risk. Th solution is a low flat tax or no taxes at all.

No taxes.... So how would the state fund anything? So you want a world like Bladerunner where everything is controlled by giant corporations and there is a MASSIVE rift between rich and poor?

No they have a lot more money therefore they should pay more taxes. How would the personal wealth of of someone who is wealthy damage the economy exactly? Oh no the people who make luxury cars and yachts will make less money oh no! All a flat tax does is make the poor poorer and the rich richer.

Firstly you've contradicted yourself in this post. You said it "is not going to do nothing" (double negative by the way mate!) but it "will only lower prosperity and get more poverty risk." So clearly even in your interpretation it does something. I'm a little confused as to how taxing the richest and most privileged means more poverty. Presumably you're implying some sort of trickle-down theory which has been debunked to high heaven. I don't see how, say, taxing the very richest 10% on average of their income (pulling this figure out of my arse) and directly dividing it and giving it to the poorest increases poverty. By that logic charitable giving by the richest increases poverty. I no understand?!!

They are completely right, the rich are the right hand of Satan (If they give most of their money away to those that need it, they are ok). So they should pay more taxes, be imprisoned, robbed and all everything they own should be shared among the poor.
