that may be the case in canada but in the US waiters in most states have a different minimum wage sometimes as low as 3-4 dollars.
Eh, I will give him this one. He can really generalize anyone he wants. I don't really care personally. It's also partially true. :lol: Anyway, I waited back in high school and boy did it suck. I got paid a dollar an hour and I worked at a restaurant that didn't do much business so I the tips weren't exactly flowing in.
Also, I woud like to point out to people, in places like Georgia (state), waitors make about $2.13 an hour. Getting stuck up from a tip is a big deal. Kal's method though would probably work the best unless there constraining money problems. Damnit Kal! You don't know your Sister's tipping habits? What kind of brother are you?! [/sarcasm] What job was it? Also, how did an unexperianced college/high school student get a job in this economy? Especially with Canada's decently high minimum wage.

Because the tip system was in place long before minimum wage was enacted. And it can be much more lucrative. Federal law has different guidelines for waiting.
I don't. I'm just saying that its utter and total BULL that the GOVERNMENT expects me to tip these people and thus lowered their minimum wage. What is this nonsense?

In the job I work at I GET tips. I also it's a stupid system. Tips should be something you get because I want to give it to you for being amazing.
I agree but i Still leave a small tip even for a bad waitor or waitress Because... I don't know I'm just like that *Shrugs*
